honda uses denso parts as well, why do you think it was toyota or lex and how do you know it was a denso brand? you are not giving all the detais here

i was in the same situation as u 3 month ago and the distance was only 60 miles, but for me to be stuck in traffic is a killer, i have no family as well so i moved, i'm renting an appartment with everytyhnign included for 900$ a month and i sleep 2 more hours in the morning and i can dedicate evenings to myself and not to driving. i did drive at my previous job and it was driving me nuts. aftter 2 month of driving i was about to get out of the car and start shooting ppl when i was stuck in traffic. i would advice you to move and have fun:)

nah, no probs with jerking so far, i mean it jerks but rarely and i think its due to dirty fluid, dont have time to change now.

weird, i have the same idle problem but it just doesnt die on me... yet.... half a year ago i noticed the idle problem just like u descibed, when i start the car engine has like 1400-1500 rpms and when it cools down it drops to 600, but agter i drive the car for a few mins the idle drops to 400, it doesnt matter if the tranny is in P or D but after revving the engine it goes away, but not always. i didnt really pay much attention since it is not causing any real trouble to me but if it will lead to the dying problem i should start to get worried right about now, i will check the numbers on my ECM on next weekend, too lazy and too cold to do it after work:)

I used to work in NYC and lived in brooklyn, i usually have taken train to work but once i had to drive and i left the car in one of those parking places. and guess what?:) i forgot that i drove and i took a train home, then when i had to drive somewhere at nite i went to the garage and the car was not there! i was in shock! i was *BLEEP*ed! the car stolne from the garage! OMG! i was about to explode and then i rememberd that i left it in the city. i took a train back to manhattan and i since company paid for the parking during the day i had to pay for the hours after 6 and until 10 and it was 70$!!!! i was really realy that day! but the situation was pretty funny when i looked at it next day:)

hey Bob, nice research:) my guess was correct and it is ECM:) i do have low idle rpm but it doesnt happen on a regular basis and only after the engine was started after a night stay, if i rev the engine to 4-5k rpms after its been completely warmed up it usually solves the problem so i dont know if my low rpm relates to the ecu problem. do you have the low rpm and if you do when do you get it?

Bob, just like i said, go and get a brand new ECU from the dealer:) this is definetly the ECU problem, its been discussed here and i also received a letter from lexus regarding this issue, i didnt pursue changing the ECU since mine is working fine but if i ever will get the problem this is first thing i would do. its free!!! and you have definite simpthoms of that problem since its happens only after prolonged highway driving.

of course the oem one is gonna work . those bulbs that you got are dual beams, it means that one bulb works for low and high beam and it has 2 spirals inthem, in your case the spiral for the lowbeam is burned while the high beam one is ok, thats why it is working when you turn the high beam on, just buy a replacement and change the bulb, as ez as 123.

there is a short somewhere, radio turns off where there is not enuff juice in the system which is proven by dimming lights, check all the brake illumination wiring and cirquitry.

how come lex is not included?

it is smaller for you since it is happening in the wires that have power when the car is shut down, but it might be as well some cirquit that turn itself and smth else on when its too humid, cirquits are really sensitive to this kind of stuff, so if the seal is bad or case cracked this might be the reason why it is happening as well. so check everything.

this is a known issue with the engine ECU and you might be eligible for free replacement under recall, when engine dies after driving over 20 mins on highway and then pulling from the highway to slow speeds or complete stop. this recall is for 95 and 96 years only. and yes it starts back u right away no probs. so ask ur dealer, have ur VIN number, if he will refuse, call the lexus america.

its not only humidity but a shortage as well, there is a loose wire somewhere that shortnens when its really humid, i had this on one of my old cars. its a to find out!

nothing wrong with charing, there is a short somewhere, and its prolly humid in the garage, or smth like this and this is why the battery is gettin drained.

do you have hissing sound from the speakers? there are like 4 screws holding the seat, just look one more time, it takes like 2 mins to take it out
