  1. alarm goes off at certain times, like 4-4:30 am, no cars with bass our loud exaust drive in the area at that time. so i think some1 is checkin how sensitive the alarm is or how long it takes me to react when it does
  2. i think i will either rent another garage or sell the car:( alarm keeps going off around the same time every night, this is getting ridiculous, i have the car for less then 1 week and i already have this problem! i used to park lexus on the same street and alarm never went off! not even once!
  3. got michelin sport AS 225/60/16 from costco and these tires changed the way my car behaves completely! its like a got a completely different car!!! those tires are rated one of the best tires on tirerack.
  4. last night alarm went off 3 times and the night before it went off once, i forgot to mention that the civic has 17 inch rims and a body kit, and its in rather unusual color. i'm getting scared, i dont have full collision for the car and i dont want to wake up 5 times at night when the alarm goes off:(
  5. sweet man, i would even get the prototype, i wish i had an extra 100k lyin around:(

  7. no lojack, liability on lexus and civic

  9. hey guys, i got a 2001 honda civic fully loaded in gold color with a factory ground kit and very attractive 17 inch rims. i already installed the compustar alarm on it but i'm still scared that rims or the whole car might get stolen. i have only 1 space in the garage, what do you think i should keep there? civic costs more then LS. your opinions are welcome:) its a really hard question for me
  10. i always wait until the engine worms up and rpm drops and i would recommend you to do the same, ls400 engine worms up pretty fast. another option is a remote start:) i heavily use this feature and it saves me few mins a day:)
  11. reman ps pump is 100$ from the autozone and its easy to change yourself! you are the first person who got this problem with the genII ls400 i know of this problem is common with the 90-94 ls and was fixed on the later models, well, i guess it happens, but its a pretty easy thing to change, its a shame it happend to a car with such lower mileage.
  12. yes it does, all american made cars start with 1 and all canadian made cars start with 2 but they are all same 17 digit system, post ur vin here and i will get ur info.
  13. steamclean all the fabric parts of the enterior and clean the leather with the cleaner and softener. this should do it. also put few air fresheners in the car. i never heard of smokin in the car decreasing the value, i think its a matter of personal prefrence
  14. How did you manage to get all that info VMF? Do you work or have friends at car fax? That's impressive! B) ← no i have an unlimited carfax account:)
  15. he story of this 1999 SATURN SL2 (1G8ZK527XXZ188745) according to our interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX: Blue Arrow This sedan has had 3 owners and was owned in New Jersey. 18. i did and i still have it, but my gf drives it, now i have to do a 55 miles drive to work each way, so doing 110 miles a day on a lex is a lil pricey, so i need another civic for myself now to commute to work:)
  19. he guys, after careful consideration i decided to buy a used civic, not a new one, since in 2-3 years they loose most of their value new civic ex is 17k while 2001 civic is only 7 not worith gettin a newone

  21. well check the service record when the car had the last tone up, and if it was within the 60k miles interval you are all good, if the light is going to come back with the same code then check your spark plugs and distributor system.
