  1. What is the different between 2000 rpm stall speed and 3000 rpm stall speed? Just the angle of the fins.
  2. This is a big hit to Jim. Initially, Mikado was making tons of money from their product. $300 and then Jim come up with $160. Lots of people buying from Jim and now the counter from Mikado is $100. I carry Jim's product and I have not experience with Mikado's. My brother is a Electronic Tech and he stated the cost for the LCD is about $10-15 USD. However, we are paying jim for his R&D and hard work. Even at $160, it still a great deal. Replace once and it will last at less 10-15 years. For price wise, the Mikado is cheaper, to quality wise, i would stick with Jim. Its a proven product. The price war is on. Would this affect me? No not really, i sell most to local shops and they love it.
  3. I think Mikado knows there are a new kid on the block and the price is not as firm as before. Jim and I can do it for much less.
  4. Hey Gang, Got a LCD from Jim last month and installed it. I also wrote an article on it. http://www.lextreme.com/lcdtech.htm
  5. Did an article on Air Suspension controller. Here is the link if you are interested reading it. http://www.lextreme.com/as.htm
  6. Contact Neil Griffiths from www.rushimports.com.au He have a kit ready to be ship.
  7. Sorry to inform you. I have opened up few 1UZFE (SC400). The pistons are NOT Forged. They are casted with special coating. I am not sure about SC300 and 2JZGTE motor.
  8. 2JZGE = Turbo 1UZFE = Supercharged = Easy 1UZFE = twin Turbo= Dont try it. Been there done that. 1UZFE = Single Trubo = Relocate battery, fuse box and AC compressor. Its doable. Very near future plan. That is all i can say. Listen to AWJ... he is right on the points.
  9. this is what the audio guy needs http://www.lextreme.com/wiring.htm or http://www.lextreme.com/misc.htm Hope those two links help.
  10. What type of wiring guide are you talking about?
  11. Here is some information on Jim's LCD unit. Installed yesterday. http://www.lextreme.com/lcdtech.htm
  12. Just finished this article yesterday. http://www.lextreme.com/lcdtech.htm
  13. Disconnect countless time and recently relocate my battery too. http://www.lextreme.com/battery.htm
  14. Had the same problem, tried the SKperformance method, didnot work. Call a local body shop they have scanner to reset if for $20. Most cars crashed would cause the airbag light to come on. They have the scanner to reset it. Take 20 seconds.
  15. They should be the same for the first generation 1UZFE.
  16. I got tired of reading the 6 pages of mature conversation. Now, most important thing is that the driver was not hurt. Lets end with a happy note.
  17. That is my friend's site. dedicated to LS400. He SN is retrodrive. check out www.retrodrive.net
  18. It might be your ISV (Idle Speed Valve) is bad. I had the same problem and my car was idle at 1600 for two months or so. Finally got it fixed and I was so happy. Check out the picture. They are pretty cheap from a local junk yard. Dealer will kill you with $650. You dont need the whole thing, just the spring loaded part. Secondly, you can take out your ISV and clean it with carb cleaner and use some muscle and loosen the spring. It might help. Check out the high idle section http://www.lextreme.com/Lex%20DX.pdf
  19. Hey that is my car. :D That is the electrical/electronic part of the MAF or Air flow meter. Do u have a friend with 1st gen lexus V8? Try to switch it and test it out. You dont have to remove the whole MAF, just the sensor. According to #24 its Air temp sensor. MAF is #31. Before you spend any more money. Get a friend with good MAF and try it out. This is how you would rule out MAF/Sensor problem. The thing you circled is MAF.
  20. Does it look like this? The black flat piece of plastic. http://www.lextreme.com and code info http://www.lextreme.com/Lex%20DxCode.pdf Air Intake Temp is #24 and Air flow meter (MAF) is #31 I need to see it. Take a pic. As AWJ stated that 1UZ is a non-interference motor and no internal parts should be damage.
  21. Injen is waste of money. It looks nice, but its not worth the money. I also dont think it improve any HP. I have seen two LS400 with it. Injen is nothing special, you can go to your local muffler shop and weld a pipe from your MAF to throttle body. Injen aluminum will heat up by the engine heat and the "cold" air become hot air. BFI would be a better mod and cheaper too. You can also get more info on BFI at www.lextreme.com/BFI.htm. Speaking of BFI, I went to Sam's Club today and noticed at the Tools area, Stanley Clamplight reflector is perfect for the BFI mod. Good luck, if you still want it go for it, but its not worth the money for the gain, but again who am I to say... LOL
  22. Air Intake Temp Sensor? Is that same as MAF? I can not picture where it is. Do u have a picture we can see? If it is MAF, you can get it from ebay. Its around $140. What is the diagnosis code #? Double check all the vacuum lines & MAF connection clip.
  23. How does your car idle? If it idle fine, most likely its not IVC. I had IVC problem and my car idle at 1600 rpm. It got stuck closed.
