  1. Diana, If you are not looking for performance. I would save the $1500 and go to junk yard and get the oem shocks and springs, they are about $60 a pair. Place an ad in this forum. U might get it for free. Most young people have after market shocks and springs and they have no use for the stock stuffs. Ask around. You can get a complete after market shocks and springs for about $750 or so. Dont waste your money. Remember other shocks are about to go bad too. Good luck and enjoy the car. david
  2. I got the 1990 LS400 for its historical background. Its that first V8 from Japan and the first V8 from Toyota. After 13 years, I still feel this car still can run with one or two years old Camry or Avalon. After more than one decade, the 1990 still runs smooth and quiet. Its still a silence rocket. If you plan to get a 1990. Stay away from Air Suspension. Its time for them to go bad. They are very expensive. About $1,000 each. Get the standard suspension you will be fine for the next 10 years. If you ever got bored with your 1990 LS, you can always put in a supercharger someday or go crazy put in a single turbo. Good luck and enjoy
  3. Gang, This might interest some of you. Dissambled my rods and pistons and tooks lots of pictures. After the close inspection, the result solves lots of false information on the net. Here and enjoy http://www.lextreme.com/pistonrod.htm
  4. here is one for the sc http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2422129256
  5. Its a sleeper. Typical 1990 Silver Lexus LS. Nothing special exteriorly.
  6. You should use yahoo or google and type "turbo lexus" and see what is the first on the list. LOL
  7. Trying to sell it and get a Pearl White 92 SC400 with high mileage. I can rebuild the motor and do either a T88 or twin T60. Make it crazy...
  8. Hey Gang, I have few connections getting MLS for lower the V8 compression. I would to know how many people would be interested. The minimum order is 50 and i have no use for that many gaskets. MLS is great for boost. It should lower to 8.7:1 compression ratio. Please let me know if you are interested.
  9. 03 is what i call a bad !Removed! car. For its price, no one can beat it, in drag and handling. With headers, chip and pulley you are looking at 500 rwhp. That is awesome. I have done a lot to my 98 Cobra and its hitting high 11s. From the factory with the above mod will give the Viper a run for the money.
  10. How about Hardcore Lexus V8 Performance. We focus mainly on the 1UZFE and topics like NOS, Turbos, Superchargers, Engine Mod, N/A, Swap and Conversion. We also have some research and development on the V8 and few other performance parts. Enjoy Lextreme
  11. Actually the first generation LS have A341E transmission (one those year have the A341E, no other car have that tranny) and 2nd, 3rd gen have 340E and Latest have 650E Transmission. If all the speed limit is taken out. The first gen will have higher top speed eventhough is has lower hp. Why? the first gen have tall gear ratio.
  12. Getting a 30k miles motor with .093" head gaskets with special seal along with ARP studs. 8.7:1 compression. Plan to run 15-18 psi depending on the two turbos. Here are some new pictures of my engine. My Webpage under shortblock and header on the left side. I am shooting for about 500 rwhp. Before that, i will install a MSD and a custom intercooler.
  13. Yes I am... If you need used cluster. I have some connections.
  14. Go to junk yard and find one. Its about $250. I replaced the whole clister.
  15. Two possible problem. Bad MAF sensor or O2 problem. I have a symptom diagnositic print out. Its under engine specs on the left side at www.lextreme.com and look for symptom diagnostics
  16. I think the newer models have more problem then the first generation. I changed my about 12 years later. My 1990 changed last year. The shocks are expensive.... u can get a complete set of aftermarket shocks and springs for less than one air shock.
  17. Its still in R&D stage right now.... in few months..
  18. Sorry, self delete my post. TC is like a cluth for an auto tranny. Stall speed is like rpm and engagement. For example, you drive a stick and you release your cluth at 1600 rpm. What happen? The car would more forward slowly. Now, you rev your motor up to 2800 rpm and drop the clutch, your car would jump off the line, right? Well, the TC acts like a clutch. Higher stall speed is like launching at higher speed in a stick tranny. That is why after market TC change to a higher stall speed.
  19. Actually, we will be making one very soon. We will use Procharger ATI P1SC head unit with 7 psi in mind. This kit will fit both LS and SC4. Intercooled also
  20. No, its David site admin for www.lextreme.com
