  1. I am next...I am working with Steve now on gathering all the parts needed for a single turbo setup like his...Lex, Got any extra turbo parts laying around you may want to sell me...I'll call you later... Always have parts for you.
  2. Call me my brother if you need the details. Perhaps u r next....
  3. I ditto SK's answer..it is NOT a interference model..I think ONLY the 95-97 models were if my memory serves me right...good luck LS400 = 95 and up SC400 = 96 and up VVTi available from 1998 and on in both models.
  4. I have been driving this car for almost two weeks now. The engine has ZERO problem. Doesn't over heat, Doesnt leak or anything at all. I put in about 600 miles into this engine along with a dyno and few burn outs. The engine work flawlessly and I love driving it. The torque peak about 3,700 rpm and tires are easily spun from a dead stop with 255 x 35 x 19. Driving this 4.7L is like riding a stallion. It wants to gallop but you are controlling it from breaking free. Its extremely fun to drive. The torque and hp is very useable on street roads and daily it no problem. There are many people who talks but we walk. The project took little time but we manage to get it done within a reasonable time table. The engine is currently breathing via ported heads and larger valves along with regrind cams with 8.8:1 compression. This motor was build for turbo application so for stock NA the result is beyond my expectation. Here is the dyno: Here are the videos: SC470 Videos The engine looks complete stock. 99.99999% of mechanic can not tell the difference. I am building the down pipes with these two babies: More details on this project: Project Lextreme
  5. I had some problem with my injectors and ill tuned when dyno. The car produced about 400 rwhp at 18 psi. However, little problems are being fix and hopefully alot more. Yes auto tranny. However I broke two trannies already and my torque converter is still the same one. It jus show you that torque converter will out last your tranny.
  6. We are building a single turbo SC400 this weekend and will document it for you guys. Its a simple build.. but workable.
  7. I would love to sponsor this wonderful forum, but my site is not a business. My site part of my hobby. Most of the parts we sell are just helping members. 99.9% of all the parts we carry we have installed, tested and driving it daily. Unlike other place they just know it by item number. We know our products inside and outside of how it works and why it works. Some parts are fast other parts are slow. For example, our forged pistons/rod combo will take 6-8 weeks and some shortblock will take as long as 3-4 months. I think buyer should also understand if they need quick parts, ebay would the cheapest and fastest beside your local dealers. However if you want quality parts then it will take time. Holidays are terrible time for any business. Pretty much the whole world stop during those two weeks. We really try our very hard to get the parts out but we don't control the world so sometimes delay happen and the above situation was a perfect example.
  8. In respond to the above comments. Those shocks were back order from Toyota and we couldn't get fast enough. Secondly it was during Christmas and New Year. Lastly the buyer used echeck and took a week to clear. That is why there were delays. We are very sorry for the delay and totally understand your frustration. We ar trying our very best but some time situations are out of our control. Sincerely, David
  9. I did the same repair on my LS400 last week. Got it done less then $1. 3/8" hose will work. Just make sure the clamps are tight. I used zip tied instead.
  10. I dont think a diy available for the valve gaskets but it pretty simple process.
  11. How long is the down time? For the price its very good.
  12. Here is what i have to this tutorial. Its for LS and SC but it would be the same as the GS How to Replace Lexus Alternator
  13. Sounds like your passenger side cam seal is bad. Its a pretty simple process. You remove the pessanger side front cover and use a hanger to hook the timing belt while you can change the cam seal. It should not take more then 30 minutes. Good luck...
  14. I have the lowest mile on my 1990 LS400. Only 600 miles. Not original of course. However, i have 205k on my odometer.

  16. I love White SC400.... that is my favorite color... looking for one myself..... hopefully a roll chaise for Project Lextreme
  17. Toyota hired many lawyers to go after any sites that contain word like Lexus or any lexus related trademark. They are getting everyone with it.... I feel very bad for Leo and Lexuspros.com. Toyota forced them to shut down their site. However, Luxurymods.com is doing very well..... To support it, please buy from them. Luxurymods.com was created by lexus owner for lexus owners.
  18. We are going to have lots of foods, drinks, nice cars and some suprises. P.S. What? Girls will be there too?
  19. Thanks for JPI and his help. I finally got my timing belt done. Here are two articles on it: Timing Belt Part 1 Timing Belt Part 2 I highly recommend JPI for anyone in Texas area. He is a great guy and a good person to purchase parts from. What about tensinor? I've heard that the tensioner frequently fails shortly after belt replacement and wipes out the new belt. ←
  20. Great Job Bro, I try to tell everyone about the conversion. I love the conversion.... solve my problem forever. david Just finished installing the front shocks to replace the not so functional airbag. The installation guide in the tech section was very useful... many thanks LEXTREME. However I did a couple of small modifications. As I noted in an earlier post I got a set of second hand Celsior/Ls400 shocks/spings/top-plates. The front shocks were apparently from a non-airbag but TEMS Celsior (so there are adjustable shocks around in the specifications also). Obviously without the controler the shocks will run at default comfort level. The order of installations was 1) Remove wheel 2) Remove airbag plug on top of shock and loosen shock bolts. 3) Undo the air inlet hose (14mm) and let all the air out - if the airbag is fully deflated and the shock free to move easily it makes removing the strut much easier. 4) Remove lower shock bolt (19mm on each side) 5) Remove lower stabiliser bar bolt (near the bottom of the shock) 17mm- It actually helps to have another jack (like a tyre jack) under the suspension setup to stop it sagging when everything is loose 6) Once the shock is compressed (all the air out) it can be easily removed with the upper control arm still in place. 7) I couldn't get the upper control arm bolt out of the lower section - it just wouldn't come off and I did happer the s...t out of the lower bar. So after a few minutes of panic I though.. Why not remove the whole upper control arm from the car. 2 x 17mm bolts that are not too hard to remove with a torque wrench. That was MUCH easier and just tilt everything forward. If the airbag wasn't removed so far then remove it now/ 8 ) Insert the new/used spring strut. Put on the upper screws in the strut but don't tighten them until you fix the lower section of the shock. 9) Replace the stabiliser bar bolt. 10) Replace the upper control arm bolts - You may need to use a spanner if the wrench doesn't fit. 11) Tighten everything and spary with WD40/Silicone spray etc. 12) Wheel goes on. Drive - MUCH MUCH Better. Like a new car. No shaking of the steering wheel. No instability at high speed. And it was a DIRECT SWAP !!!!!!!! Going for another drive now !!! ←
  21. Walbore fuel is for high performance only.. Like FI applications..
