  1. I already cheanged the entire pump assembly. Is it possible that the problem could lie in the rack?also the fluid shoots out of the resivoir like a geyser when the wheels are turning. I dont know I appreciate everyone's fast responses these cars are very frustrating to troubleshoot. Thanks everyone.
  2. Thanx. this is really *BLEEP*ing me off to the point that I'm ready to sell the car. Anyone have any idea's of what might be as much fun as this to drive in the 10,000-15,000 dollar range?
  3. Yeah I dont know either what are you loking to do?
  4. P.S. UCF3....I live in NJ and mechanics here are A**holes. My assumption is that they will tell me it's my problem but thanx i appreciate the response.
  5. sk performance, any idea on how much that would cost or how i would go about fixing it? thanx for the fast reply.
  6. Hey its been a while since I've posted I just got my SC400 back from the shop today after replacing my power steering pump and it seems to have done nothing. The car has the typical whine when the power steering is acting up and when I slow down a lot for a turn the car loses rpm's and stalls now and then. If it isnt the power steering pump what's the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  7. Hey anyone know a good site or source to buy a reliable refurbished power steering pump for a 92 sc400 and help would be greatly appreciated
  8. Can someone give me the best site they know for a walkthrough with pics of how the true BFI is done? Thanx
  9. ahh....No i only cuz the airbox i didnt make the cardboard chamber and it works awesome just like that.
  10. Well after many questions and many questions answered by the wonderful headz at LOC I finally did the BFI and its much more than i thought it would be however i didnt go the extra yard to build the insulation shielding, just gutted the airbox, but i noticed an impressive imrovement in the trottle response and its loud as bleep. So this is just thanx to everyone who answered all my questions as stupid as they may have been. P.S. there is no need to remove the front headlight to get the airbox out, it comes right out with all the screws removed. P.P.S. Is there any other reason behind building the insulation shield aside from just keeping the air cool? Thanx again
  11. hey teke where in NJ are you from and where is this shop you speak of?
  12. Ok i wasnt sure if the engine swap would be more than a TT setup (whenever one becomes available) i think it is going to be in the neighborhood of 10,000 for the TT setup. I would go for the supercharger I just think that might put too much strain on the engineits only got 104,000mi on it but i dont wanna romp on it too hard i still have to drive it for a year or so before its paid off so the longer it runs the better but thanx for the advice. p.s. is the 6-speed trans still available for the V-8 or is it only for the 6? Thanx again
  13. Sorry i also need to inquire about swapping the auto for a 6 speed man. any possibility?
  14. Ok so im tired of having this V8 and no turbo's to put on it. Is it poosible to do a halfway clean engine swap for a Supra TT motor what else would need to be changed or modified? Please help im desperate for more speed!
