  1. One of the most common places for the EGR pipe to crack is the lower one third. That is where the flexible part is located. For better inspection, jack up the car and look at the lower 1/3. If you can not see it or hear it (exhaust link), you can light up a torch (oxy type) and see if the flame move or not. If leak, i highly recommend doing an EGR Delete. This is especially important for Turbo application. david
  2. Stainless Steel Braided Lines are great but its doesn't stand a chance against the hot exhaust gas. I am in the progress of making an EGR Delete Kit. Its a three block plates along with a resistor. The kit will take care of you EGR problem forever. I also found out the EGR pipe crack will cause the "Check Engine" light to comes on too.
  3. If you do a search on the net there are many place sell coilovers and they specifically stated "exclude Air Suspension" That mean the system doesnt work on Air Suspension equiped LS400. The AS rides have different brackets. The standard suspension can not just bolt onto the AS equiped LS400. I have talked to Strutmasters tech and from my personal experience they are different. david
  4. You can not just get any suspension replacement. You gotta get the Air Suspension Conversion kit. If you want to be lowered too. That is a special order kit.
  5. What happen if deleted the VSV (FPU). I am deleting the EGR and the VSV is right next to it.
  6. I love that site myself. Great job.. keep it up... Owners are dying to read more DIY articles.....

  10. LOL.. injectors????? Its the valve shims..... its a common problem with the 1UZ
  11. EGR Replacement is a big job.... most of common area of crack is lower 1/3 of the pipe.... If i have that problem.. i would take it a mechanic... Its a huge job... Its one 4 bolts.. but its very hard to get into.... The top two screws is easy.... but the passenger side header is difficult...

    Wow!

Here are some updated pictures i took last night:
  13. Here is my latest project. This is for myself only.. not for product or anything like that..... just want to have tire burning feel. Its just being tag right now and will take the header to a professional for TIG weld, then ceramic coating, installation and few other exhaust pipes... From my personal experience, its easier to turbo charge a LS then the SC. The SC steering rack takes lots of room in the driver side..... My friend Ryan from Florida is working on his DIY Single Turbo SC400. I am helping him out via phone and emails. www.anderson-audio.com did a custom build twin turbo SC430. I visited the shop in Altanta Georgia and met Chris Anderson and kept intouch with him. They dynoed the beast. 605 rwhp with 15 psi. That is awesome... 605 rwhp will take a smaller motor like the 3.0 at least 20 psi or so.. every thing being equal... bigger cubic does have advantages.

  17. Bushes are Australian term. Bushings are American term. Bushings is bushes.
  18. No problem.... I am not sure about the Inline 6, but the V8 have pretty flow already therefore it would be a waste of money from my personal experience. Do a search and find out.....
  19. Sorry i dont deal much with inline 6 so i am not sure what the original talking about.
  20. I have seen them all.. OEM, Daizen, VFT and some from South Africa. By far, the VFT is best on the market. Its a complete new bushing with stainless steel out shelves. If you have other products.. they are cheap quality and that is why they sell then cheap... VFT cost more, but the way its structured..... its worth every penny.
  21. Hard to say.. but i think u over paid about 4-5k
