  3. I never see two A/F sensor goes out at the same time. I would check the A/F heater wire by the fuse box, Sometimes it came off and could trigger your check engine light. If you have access to a lexus scanner I would check to see the voltage on these two, also a resistance test will let you know pretty quick. Good luck. JPI
  4. funny you should ask....lol. I was over there today and took some pictures. The front has now been cut to fit the intercooler and the piping has been completely installed. The factory blow off valve has been replaced by a much larger Tial unit placed next to the intake in order to improve throttle response. A HKS racing suction cup has now replaced the stock filter box. The problem with the shift lever locking as well as the key refusing to come out of the ignition has been traced to the body ecu and hopefully by saturday that problem should be solved. In case you are wondering, the polished intake piping is also from HKS modified to allow the bottom pipes to fit. This is what it looks like currently. I need to get touch with you. What is your aim? My is jpimportz25. Thank you JPI
  5. Look for dipstick 0-ring, valve cover gaskets, power steering pump and valve cover gaskets leak. JPI
  6. That is way too much. 75k miles service is a 15k. Save your money for the 90k service. JPI
  7. You will need to remove the valve cover to check for sludge. JPI
  8. I would check the motor mounts. Most of the Ls400 I look at have broken motors and transmission mount. This is a long drive. Are you moving ? JPI
  9. Changing from R12 to R134 is not just swapping out the adaptors. You need to get most of the oil out. Do you have a leak in your system? What is the high and low side reading? Did the guy ever fix your leak when converting to R134. JPI
  10. When Toyota dealership see the lexus, their eyes will start flashing $$$$$$$$$$$$. Too bad you aren't in the dallas area. JPI

  12. Welcome back Lexusfreak, The link too forever to download(i have dial up). What is it about? JPI
  13. I don't need to call anyone to prove my points. Just for heck of it, I have a brake job on a RX300. I did one rotor on car and the other off car. Check the runouts and it's the same. There is no words in the book saying on car will provide a better cut. I based on my facts and experience. Just for the record, I've been with Lexus for 7 years, still holding my ASE master and Lexus master. I don't know everything but I know quite a bit about the lexus vehicles. We are here to help each out. ;) JPI
  14. There are Lexus auction only, Anyone has a dealer license can come. So Lexus certified doesn't mean you getting best, You are paying more! JPI
  15. The disk in front of the compressor call the CLUTCH. The clutch will engage at a certain pressure. Once you are out of R12 there is no pressure. JPI
  16. I've seen sludge from 92-2002 V6 engine. but mostly 97 up though. JPI
  17. I've seen guy charged 5 lbs of r134 on a brand new sc430 and he blow the car up. This is dangerous here, also more doesn't mean better. I would put a dye kit in there so you will spot your leak next time. JPI
  18. This is not true. On and off either method will work. It will depend on your tech, if he didn't position your rotor true to the center then your rotor will have an event cut. When you turn the rotors you supposed to measure the runouts, I hardly see anyone do this anyone. The best brake lathe outthere is the hunter unit. I used to buff the rotors when I finished it them, I found this method useless and stop doing it. JPI
  19. First of all your power train warranty cover the oil leak 6 yrs 70k. Please take it to the dealership, and it is zero of charge. Second of all, what is the flush, adjust and clean? There isn't any adjustment on this vehicle. All you need to is flush the brakes and it will cost you $47. These people are lack of knowledge about lexus vehicles and also trying to make some quick bucks while they can. They give the automotive industry a BAD NAME! JPI
  20. my God $1600 for the power steering pump and hose replacement. No wonder they are losing their business to us everyday. That where we come in JPI
  21. I wouldn't remove the negative cable when your car is running, it could damange your Ecu. I would check the battery, I needs 12.6v to start up and also get your alternator tested. JPI
  22. I never like having a C/F. It will look good for about 6 months, then everything start to fade, break. JPI
