  1. Why don't we use lexus parts? I know they cost just a little more but I wouldn't go cheap on brake pads. Keep this in mind, Rx300 have the updated pads so make sure you get the right part. Aftermarket pads will squeal! Btw, there is a tool that you can compress the caliper pistons. JPI
  2. Nice to know that you are making some good power. My project is on hold for now, the shop is too busy and I couldn't keep up with all the work coming in. I tried to email you so many times, oh well I will catch you later Jon. JPI
  3. It's cheaper for the ES300.... wait until you go into the I6 and V8............You don't really need the tensioner unless it needs one. I would worry about the water pump than anything else. JPI
  4. You will need to look at the low and high side reading. A/C repair is never a DIY, bring it to someone certified and let them fix it. Good luck. JPI
  5. What buttons? There is a nitrous and turbo button located under the kick panel, becarefully otherwise your Ls400 will turn into a monster. B) JPI
  6. The price is cheaper at JPI. ;) JPI
  7. 29psi ..............AEM will control everything...... JPI
  8. B E A U T I F U L ................................................................. I can't wait to get my done. JPI
  9. Here are some pics of the na-t set up vvt-i TT rod is on the left and GE VVt-i rod is on the right TT piston is on the left, as you can see it has a deeper valve cut and deeper dish. GE vvt-i piston is on the right, not much going on there. JPI
  10. The po440 is a small leak from Charcoal Canister to fuel filler neck. To properly diagnost this problem, you will need to apply vaccum on the section mention. Then the valve and watch for pressure drop, Also check the gas cap to see if it holds pressure. Having a lexus scanner will also help, it will tell you what condition the vehicle was in when CEL coming on. JPI
  11. Using the Lexus Scan tool never work for us. We open the nipple up and pump the brake 10 times, need to this to four corners. JPI
  12. Why are you replacing the Headgaskets? Is it blown? Are you losing coolant? JPI
  13. I guess these people don't care about their work. This is what we do to prevent these things happen at our shop. 1) After every oil change. We start the start up for 1 second and check the stick 2) Put some rags under the oil filter so They will catch all the oil 3) Fender covers are very important. We don't want to scratch the fender JPI
  14. Check to see if the Timing belt and water pump has been replaced. Lower ball joints tend to fail at this mileage. Strut rods broken. Engine mount tear and wear. Other than that check minor things. Like seatheater(it isn't that great on the Gs anyway). Have any question. Shoot me an email jpimportz@yahoo.com JPI
  15. You can't bleed the brake system with the Lexus scan tool. I'm stunt on this matter. Did the guy ever try to bleed the brake system? There is a proper way to bleed the air out. You can't just suck the brake fluid out. Please keep me updated on this matter. I wish you are close so I can take a look at your car. JPI
  16. I guess I'm a drug dealer since I'm going to have a turbocharger on my GS300. Actually I do have taste....... jpi
  17. The tensioner hardly fail so the dealership is right. When replacing the timing belt and water pump, you want to inspect the bearing to see if they are still ok. But it's your call. I'm just speaking from my own experience with lexus. JPI
  18. There could be a lot of things cause this problem. But my suspect is the expansion valve. The only way to know for sure is hooking up the a/c gauge, we need to know the low and high side reading. We can't guess on a/c work. I'm sure there is an Independent lexus repair shop in your area. Everytime the a/c doesn;t work, it doesn't have to be the a/c compressor. JPI
  19. I would flush the brake system and check to see if there is any air. Your lexus dealership trying to point fingers. BTW, why would you bring your lexus to a muffler shop? Did they try to fix it? JPI
  20. How do we know it's a blow h/g? Oil in coolant? Engine consume coolant? I've seen a couple of Lx450 h/g failed. But the V6 is notorious for blown h/g. JPI
  21. Here are some pictures of the na-t project so far. I will fill you guys with the details later on. JPI
