  1. I think they forgot to put the spring back it. Happen to me couple times. JPI
  2. I will add some more to the list. I've seen these run flat tires go out at 12k miles, Also camber adjustment is really big on these and they are tend to throw out of spec. For those of you who haven't dismount these tires, they are a pain in the rear. Also you need to slow down over bumps, these are low profile tires so there ain't that meat on the tire to absorb the energy. Good luck with the SC, I still think it's expensive to keep up with this car. JPI
  3. Very nice. Are you sure your passenger's side will fit? Look like the piping going that route. Keep it coming guys. My plan is slight different though. I'm going to run na-t with the gs300 that I have. But we will see. JPI
  4. The rebuilt unit is pretty much the same as new. I've replaced a couple of rx300 tranny in the past. Take care of your tranny and flush the transmission fluid every 15k miles. JPI
  5. Cool, Must be the new GS.... B) JPI
  6. It's not hard, but you have to get the wires back in the same way or the tray won't close at all. JPI
  7. This condition is normal but once it get too loud you can go ahead and apply some grease to quiet the noise down. This process will require of removing the shifter and center console. We had a client came in the shop, he insisted that this is not a normal condition. So we removed the center console and apply some grease at the interlock and the noise is reduced 50%. Have fun guys. 8. Hello Bob, You should bring it back and tell them your problem is not fixed yet. Are you sure your valve cover gaskets ain't leak? Usually when the valve cover gaskets do leak. I would suggest the client to replace them first. Clean everything off and tell them to come back in about a month to see if the rear main seal is leaking. Let me know Bob. JPI
  9. I will see if i know any shop in your area. JPI
  10. There are two kind of pump for the Ls400. Asian pump and Denso, I've seen a couple pump fail. Please test the unit first before replacing the pump. Good luck. JPI
  11. Did you try the yellow book? They are outhere. JPI
  12. I will be suprise once you raise the car up. Real main seal leakage is common on older lexus. I mean the seal get old and it does fail. Like vdenny said, I would take it to the shop and let them check out. JPI

  18. Hello mariaz, Did you get your husband to check the radiator out? Please take the temp on lower and upper radiator hose. JPI
  19. Lexus T-belt need to replace every 90k miles not 60k. And i wouldn't wait until you see coolant coming out the water pump, What kind of mechanic is this guy? For those of you that have the VTT-i engine, if the t-belts breaks your valves will bend(except on V6). JPI
  20. The rebuilb kit is $35, this is not simple job. I do a lot of them but sometimes I have some come back. You will need a part washer and all kind of tools to do it. Better off buying a new one. JPI
  21. You need to hook up the gauge to get the low and high side reading. A good running a/c will have 30 psi on low and 190 psi on high side. If the system has a leak, I would take it to a shop and have them check out. You can't guess on a/c work. JPI
  22. Tim, There is no cold start injector on this car. What make you think it's the cold start injector? Does your car crank over at all? I would go ahead and check all the basic stuffs first. Battery, starter, fuses, relays. Four things needed to run the car: compression, spark, fuel and air. Give me some more details and I will walk you through the steps. JPI
  23. What is the low and high side reading? JPI
  24. If you want to go fast and started out with the wrong car. But you can always bolt on a TRD supercharger. JPI
