  1. Does the multiple security down payment for a lease really save you a descent amount of money off your lease payment. I know the max you can do is 9 payments of 500 which is 4500 that you will get back. This isn't counting the taxes and fees which is probably another 1600 to 2000. Is the 6k out of pocket really gone lower the payment alittle or do you guys think this is pointless. Can some of you guys please share some stories if this worked for you and how much did it really lower your payments. Thanks in advance.
  2. I have heard many people say that you can put up to 9 security deposits down on a lease for lexus and they refund the money at the end of the lease. This will lower your payment by almost a $100 a month. how does this work and is it a good idea if you have the 4 or 5k to do it. I was reading in another forum that a member leased a new ES350 with 5k out of pocket (3500 is refundable and the other 1500 is the fees) and is paying a little over $400 a month.
  3. My girlfriend and I went to see the omen last night. One of the characters had an LS430 at first, then I argued with my girlfriend that the other car was a GS430 06, it was hard to see because the seen was at night. I could tell because of the rims and HIDs. Towards the end of the movie, the GS has a 5 min part where its driving at high speeds. Pretty cool, just figured i share. Means alot when you are a GS fan since 15 years old.
  4. I meant that when you lease, even though u are putting nothing down, you still have to pay the first month payment and fees. So on a car like a lexus, it would come out to $1500 to $2000 out of pocket anyway. Can you roll all of the fees into the lease so it is truly no money out of pocket?
  5. Thats good advice. I pay 370 a month for a Grand prix GT. Thats what i think sometimes, i lease every 4 years and i am putting down 2k and when the four years is up, i am putting down another 2k. If i finance a car and hold it until it is paid off, i will have the down payment in the equity that has built. When the time comes, i'll probably finance a 3 year old lexus, ES or GS, the IS is too small. At least when it is paid off in 5 years, i'll have a 7 to 10 thousand down payment for my next Lexus. Rather than putting money in every few years for a lease. Even an 8 year-old lexus will still look new because i wash my car twice a week and wax once a month. I really take care of them even though i lease. I guess you have too when all you haven driven is black cars.
  6. I know it will and will probably never do it. Its just that i have been obsessed with lexus and particular the GS model since i was 17, now 24. Everytime one of my leases is up, i always say i am gonna try to get one, but always fall short. I have been leasing pontiacs since then. Its more of convincing myself i guess. You guys are right, most of the methods i am talking about are not smart to do. Sometimes i say to myself, you only live once and when i am feeling more practical, i say this is crazy, i should wait. My pontiac is up in 2 years, so i guess i will see. I finish College this year too.
  7. Thanks again, i'm not sure why this topic was moved, i responded to it in the other section, thanks again.
  8. I just wanted to know if HIDs were transferable from one car to another. For example, If i lease an ES and buy HIDs and then trade in car in in 4 years, can i put the lights in a GS or can i go from a pontiac to a lexus. Is it a matter of just changing the harnish(sp?) and if it is, are they expensive or would the best method be just to get new HIDs for each car and sell the old ones. Thanks guys, like always, i appreciate it.
  9. So if i was looking for sportiness, i would check into the GS or IS and LS and ES for Comfortability, correct?
  10. Is the TL alot faster than the ES350, i know that the TL is probably lighter but the ES has more HP. Or does that TL just blow the new ES away.
  11. thanks guys, I appreciate the honesty. Maybe i'll continue to lease so i don't need such big down payments and extended loans.
