Bob, How is she liking the LS......I know you've worked on it A LOT !!!! since you've owned it to get the LS in great shape and your wife was a little leary.... SHe's gotta love the ride :D ← A little wife test today. :D Bob: "With the price of gas what it is, maybe we should have got you a Toyota Camry. I won't have any trouble selling the Lexus and we could get you a nice Camry. One with Leather. They get a lot better mileage I have heard and they can run on regular gas. Buying premium fuel has gotta be working on your spending money." Wife: "I don't think so." Bob: "But I can make a good profit on the car now that it is fixed up nice and no problem finding a Carmy. Same color, even newer!" Wife: "NO!" To those unmarried (I have 31 years experience)....that means she likes it. :D ← Sorry I got to this post late. Most of the time people install the rotor wrong and it's 180 degree off. This would cause the car not to start(timing is out). JPI
  3. HAHA! It was repairable, and it wasn't a warped seat frame. You know how the power seat reclines back? Well, the mechanism that does that wasn't working right. Turns out only one side (left side) of it worked, leaving the other side always in that position. I took apart the seat, and with much grief and a few !Removed! knuckles, realigned the two sides and slid the little turning bar thing back into place and superglued it there. Hopefully the superglue will hold so I won't have to take it all apart again to epoxy or JB weld it. Am I really the only one with this problem? ← I would suggest replacing the aluninum bar going across the two gear. Let us know if we can help. JPI
  4. Yeah around $800 is right. Check the owners manual for all that is included in the service. ← $1300 is too much for this service. If you are willing to make a trip to Dallas, We can save you some money. Keep this in mind, most of the items listed they don't usually do 90% of the time. JPI
  5. Stay away from OSAKA MOTORSPORTS. They scam so many people including me. I don't understand why they are still in business. JPI
  6. I don't think that's so funny. That seems to be the attitude of many service people today.......they don't want to accomodate the poor soul that wants a seemingly simple job. Tell me....what's so hard about getting an oil filter to fit a Honda, and what's so different about the oil that a Toyota uses as compared to the oil that a Honda uses.:chairshot: ← I don't think you understand. We are an exclusive lexus/toyota independent shop. We wouldn't touch anything else. My sister in law drive a honda and I wouldn't allow her car in the shop during business hrs. JPI
  7. Here is another funny story at our shop. Last monday morning, client came into our shop for an oil change. He has a 2001 honda accord. So I said " Sir, we don't work on honda. Only lexus and toyota", Then he said " They are japanese cars right? " I said "Yes sir, but we only work on lexus and toyota", He said "Can you do it anyway?" I said " We don't have honda parts here". The guy was upset and left hehehe. We have the $10 oil change for first time client so that is probably why he bring his accord in lol. :whistles: JPI
  8. Josh, Call me if you need anything and we can talk about price. If you mind the drive :P JPI

  14. The evap system on older ES300 isn't that advance. If you have a small leak your CEL won't be on. I would test your gas cap to see if it does hold pressure. JPI
  15. What is the scanner have to do with this problem we having? Did you pull off the oil pan ? What's the oil pressure look like? JPI

  18. Knock sensor located in the V bank. You will have to remove the intake manifold to get to it. There are two knock sensor, bank 1 and bank 2. Just curious though, why are we replacing the knock sensor? JPI
  19. Thank you for letting us service your vehicle Mr. Radman. How is the new GS430? JPI
  20. On the V8 engine you will need to fill the coolant at the coolant pipe neck. You will need a 17mm socket, break that lose and fill it up from there. Otherwise air pocket will form and your vehicle will overheat. JPI
  21. John, This is a doable swap but it's costly. Why not stick with the auto tranny and built it to handle the power. JPI
  22. Lexus stepping up and fix the vehicle.. that is why the 'Passionate Pursuit of Perfection' there for a reason. You are lucky you didn't buy the GX470. JPI
