  1. Yes, the ride will be harder. Higher load ratings are achieved with heavier or more cord plies giving stiffer sidewalls.
  2. I got Continental Extreme Contacts, all weather. They handle fine, have a high treadwear rating and did ok when I got into some ice in Ohio last winter.
  3. Maybe your evaporator drain is clogged or out of place.
  4. It's widely known that the ticking noise as described is the floating front brake calipers shifting under certain conditions. It is not a problem and all IS300's do it. The 0 to 80 gizmo is supposed to be an "mpg at the moment" indicator. If you notice, it will be higher if coasting or gong downhill and lower when you are accelerating. It's pretty much useless, but it's there.
  5. Well there is some "sculpturing" and inset at the back of that window, but it's the same on both sides.
  6. Sounds like your door needs to be adjusted. I just looked at mine and it's all almost flush on both sides of the car. I ran my fingers between roof and doors and it's all the same.
  7. It's Time Magazine, always was a nothing lefty rag. It's not worth reading and too slick paper for fish wrap.
  8. I have an early 06 model and never any gaps anywhere. Everything on the car is original.
  9. Tire sizes and ratings should be on a sticker where the drivers door closes.
  10. I guess I won't say anything about the WD40 except that it's more solvent than lubricant. Might want to check the label and see if it's ok to use on rubber.
  11. I use the Lexol rubber and vinyl protector on all rubber and vinyl parts twice a year, seals, sun roof, trunk, under hood, around doors, etc. Wipe it on sparingly, not spray. It comes in the three part kit with Lexol leather cleaner and condioner. There are a couple other brands that are also good. Just don't get a bunch of it on the paint. Silicone grease might also be good. The spray doesn't seem to do much. I don't think I'd be using the lithium though, no good reason, but I think over time i will show stains.
  12. In all the posts I've read here and on other forums I've never heard of this. I'm thinking the A/C evap drain hose may be out of place but that would be more in the passenger footwell area. Perhaps there were some other drains plugged, but can't think off hand what they would be. There could be a plastic cap or plug missing from under the floor. That happened on some IS300's.
  13. I just don't want to compromise my vanity mirror and superb acoustical device for some old sun visor slider thing. :D
  14. I don't think anyone said it was a warranty job. However, he's willing to pay and the dealer service might be the best qualified to remove the unit for cleaning.

  17. Acoustical material.... HA! When I read that in the list of features I nearly fell on the floor laughing. Sounds like a nosense gimmic to me. But, Lexus said so............. how could it be nonsense?

  19. Yes they have. I'll try to find the thread when time permits.
  20. And because they added those stuff they think that they've to save a buck or half. You see, I am trying to find a good execuse for them ;) . I think the visors are pretty, even if they don't work good.
  21. Yes it is a car forum, not to be taken so personal.
  22. Yeah they are out to get you, what with the sliding vanity mirror cover and the automatic light in the headliner that comes on when you open the little door, plus the secure holder where the visor won't be flopping down when the car is 4 years old, not to mention the acoustical material to enhance your stereo listening experience. Cheap bastiges!!111!
