  1. Best I could find was still $100. Seems like a lot for some plastic. Off to the junkyard I go! 100 is about what I paid for mine. It's "JDM" man. There are some online salvage searches you can find on Google. I've had some hit and miss luck whith those.
  2. Will it break the car if i don't use premium gas?? Sooner or later it will be all carboned up. In the short run it won't run as well because the timing will !Removed!, and under severe conditions such as lots of hill climbing it may ping from pre-ignition knock. The mileage probably will drop off to where you're not really getting any appreciable savings, all at the expense of performance and engine life. The car just wasn't designed for regular gas. There's a lot of IMHO here but all that I have stated is based on facts.
  3. It's worth it if something goes wrong with the retracting top mechanism after the regular warranty runs out. The extended warranty is also transferrable.
  4. Most of us agree that we wouldn't use anything but premium gas. There is much discussion of that here.
  5. If the dash tray will solve the problem, I got one from Hong Kong thru ebay for a lot less.
  6. Take the deal. You know the car. I doubt you could buy a 06 for that kind of money less interest.
  7. If the cabin temperature sensor is disconnected the unit will just blow hot air.
  8. If you have HID as stock then the bulb is D4S and no kit is required. The bulb will just plug in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PHILIPS-D4S...1205|240%3A1318 If you want to get the bulb somewhere I can probably give you easy enough instructions for installing it. It's not hard to see how to do it, but you may scrape some knuckles as it's a pretty confined space to work in. Thanks much! As far as installing it, from what they were explaining to me, because the bulb was on the outside, it's pretty tough to get to(like you were saying) and they were talking about taking off part of the bumper or something. I'm not sure how comfortable I'll be with doing something too involved, but if you want to pass along instructions, I can evaluate from there, and maybe give it a shot. But that bulb will save me over $300 alone, so thanks again! I haven't changed a bulb on a OEM HID but it wasn't that hard to change bulbs when installing a HID kit on a Halogen setup. The following shows some pics of how to get to the bulb. http://my.is/forums/f154/tutorial-how-inst...50-pics-335885/
  9. Use what you like. I'm using the Blitz that I already had in my Fsport intake.
  10. Give or take a few hundred won't hurt anything. We've posted how to reset that light here numerous times.

  12. Demanding? WTF? are we reading the same thread?...lol This post came off as rather sarcastic whether intended or not. I guess everyone thinks maybe you should just read the thread you posted this question in and get the answer yourself. thank you...wow what a supermoderator.

  14. I never found it but it may be in the manual you can get here: http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instruct...S%20-%202006-_E Or go to Lexus.com and under the owners section register your VIN and you can access the maunal there.
  15. It all depends on how you like to drive. I may get a LS when I get really old.
  16. Depending on the price range JoeZ intake pipe with a Blitz OEM drop in filter. Or Lexus FSport intake. Can be found online for about $299. I got one from a Lexus dealer in California via Ebay.
  17. I never changed anything on my IS350 suspension, but for what you are looking for, a mild 1" drop, no harsh ride, but improved handling I'd go with Eibach Pro Kit springs. I've had good luck with those on other cars. http://www.gripmotorsports.com/dl~pn~Lexus...ch_Springs.html
  18. Mine's in 6th most of the time above 30 MPH with slight gas or on cruise.
  19. I've never had a problem with my early 06. I 've had all the "recalls" done. I would never have known there was any problem though without the service notices.
  20. There are plenty of places to buy Toyota/Lexus parts without paying the dealer prices. Sewell Lexus and Irontoad are two of them.
  21. Not a bad price. The service schedule is included in the owner's manual sticky at the top of the forum.
  22. I would expect that the remote start would have to make the ECU think the brake pedal was depressed before you could remotely start the car. Since the brake lights are on and you don't have to push the brake pedal to start the car, then the problem has to be with that part of the remote start system. You can have the CEL read at any auto parts store. Get the code and that may give further clues.
  23. It's just the transmission. ECT = Electronic Controlled Transmission
