I have a 2006 SC430. I can’t unlock the doors or open the truck using the key fob. The battery is good the little red light on the fob works. Everything in the car works fine. Door locks lock and unlock using the buttons in the car. The button in the car that opens the truck does not work. Any suggestions?

Thanks very much Paul. Now I have to figure out the problem with the motor. The switch seems fine because when I move it back and forth I hear a slight click in both directions.

2002 RX300. Bought it with engine torn down. They had a head gasket leak and it crystallized the top of two pistons. I pulled it and tore it down completely and checked everything, honed the cylinders and went back with new pistons and bearings and everything. I then went through the heads. Cleaned them up, lapped the valves, checked valve lash and then installed new valve stem seals. This is the third 1MZ-FE that I have done this to, so I can almost do it with my eyes closed. Got it all put back together and made sure the timing was spot on. Went to start it, and it starts really rough. Mechanically, it sounds fine. I have to put the pedal to the floor to start it, as if it's flooded. I had already cleaned the throttle body and IACV. After eliminating anything on the air flow side, I pulled the plenum back off and pulled the plugs. The front 3 plugs were black and sooty, but not wet. The rear 3 plugs looked just like they did when I installed them. Not wet and haven't fired at all. I am stumped as to how this whole bank can be dead. I put a known good coil on one of them and tested for spark, but no go. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before I tear into the wiring harness. Are there separate fuses for each bank? Any ideas?

Draining just the radiator should be sufficient. You do know the proper procedure on how to refill and bleed the cooling system?

The lower shaft descriptions are confusing; non-tilt, tilt, can't install it on the column, etc. I've never done column work on the LS, other than to lower it from the dash to access the ignition switch. In order to disassemble/assemble the column, I would recommend removing it from the vehicle and working on it on a bench. Hopefully, the attachments will be of some help. So I was cruising along in my pristine 2011 LX 570 STOCK(as the should be). Do not even get me started on the idiots who ruin the reputation of the brand by "modding" or "tricking out" there vehicles. Anyways. There I was jamming out to my favorite classic rock station, when I pull into the gas station, when I see the most sensational women I have ever seen filling up her '97 chevy. She comes over my beautiful car( as it does attract quite a bit of female attention), and leans into my window. She proceeds to tell me how much she fancies the 5.7 Liter V8 in my absolute horse of a vehicles. After inviting her into my car, she tells me there is something wrong with my car. Excuse me. Not my 2011 Lexus Lx 570. After reaching around I realize that my vehicle is upequipped to handle the sheer power of a bigger women. Let me tell you know if she aint over 280 she aint a lady. Live by that die by that. Anyways. I would like to file a complaint to Lexus about the structural integrity of their passsenger seats in the first gen Lx 570s. If anyone could help me resolve this tragedy, that would be greatly appreciated.

Agree. I had mine installed by the dealer. Price, including install was less than ordering the parts from Rock. Also the originals lasted 16 years, I doubt any of the aftermarkets will last even close to that long, assuming they even work right. If your vehicle is old enough it doesn't already have TPMS, I have no advice, never tried the remote cap ones.

actually, the question I think you’re looking for is what mutes the amplifier after it fires up mine plays for about two3 seconds and quits after turning on the ignition I can turn the ignition off and back on again and the musical play again for 2 to 3 seconds I hear a pop through the speakers. All speakers have been checked and worked perfect and hear the amplifier turn on, but do not hear the amplifier turn off. Is there a communication box between the radio and the amplifier with a digital mute line

Hello I just got my 2024 RX 500h F sport. I love everything about it except the Sound system. I’ve tried adjusting and readjusting but sitting in the driver seat still sometimes sounds like a tin can. I realize that it depends on what I’m listening to, when it was recorded, and other factors that make it sound good or not so good. But I’m wondering if there’s anyone out there who has made any changes to the Sound system to make it better and if you were successful, what did you do? I have the Levinson 21 speaker Sound-system.

Hi Everybody, My name is Mira I'm new to the forum. I have owned my 2014 CT200h for 8 years and it has been a super dependable car. I recently had an electrical issue and my brother said the code P0A80 was a hybrid/EV battery pack replacement code. My question is what are your recommendations for replacement. I see a lot of options out there and since I have an electrical engineering background, replacing the pack myself is not a problem and will save me a lot of money. I searched the site but did not see anything on this topic which surprised me. Thank you

Did I make mistake getting the RX350 Premium+ gas version? Should I have gotten the NX350H instead? MSRP price for 2024 RX Premium Plus was $58,900.00 and I got it for $51,200.00 plus tax amd fees. I thought it was good deal so I got it. I could have gotten the NX350H Premium with HUD for about $52k plus tax and fees but would save about $500 per year on gas. The NX350H premium however doesn't have real leather, no digital rear mirror and no advance parking. These additional features don't seem necessary though. I'm a bit regretting not getting the RX350H instead... Please share your thoughts. Thank you!

look for coolant under passenger and rear passenger wet carpet. Possible leaking heater core .

Mention to the dealer to check the top strut mounts for tightness.

Be happy if all remnants of the "free" app has been deleted. When we bought the car I did not install any of the apps. All free things are not at all free. They are free with thoughts about making money, one way or the other. When buying a new computer, first thing I do is install the operation system from scratch and then remove as much of the bloat I can (in Windows it is Bing, Edge, search and then opting out of all messaging to Microsoft), in Android I usualluy spend a couple of hours removing bloat and for both operation system it make the machines function close to twice the speed compared to what Google and Microsoft want me to have in the devices..

The answer is, never buy another Lexus and tell everyone you can. I also was a Lexus fan until I had an oil leak in a cylinder where the whole engine had to be removed. They stuck me with a large fee and had the attitude that they did me a favor by discounting amount. Then the service lady said she didn’t build the car. Like I did? 80 thousand miles should never made this happen. Never again will a Lexus be in my garage.

I had a car once that did the same thing. Turns out I was hanging the FOB right next to the garage door where the car was parked. A mechanic told me that it was too close to the car and that this would run the FOB battery down. I placed the key in my bedroom and the battery worked fine. Good luck in finding your problem.

Some auto parts stores will make a line for you if you take the old one they can use as a sample. If not, do a search for a hydraulic repair shop. They make lines for all kind s of heavy duty machinery and may be able to make yours.
