It is not a bad design and the air feed is hidden in the fender well ,not exposed.
I would check the intake tubing and make sure it is not coating the maf from too much oil spray on the filter.
I wet sanded and polished mine with a medium polish and they look like new. To keep that crystal clear look you need to get a clear bra added on top of it.
If you want to greatly extend the life of the motors and gears make sure you never use the wheel as a handle and lift yourself in or out of the car .As well as adjusting yourself in the seat just adds pressure to the cogs.
Try and wiggle the button , I had a similar problem with a pin under the switch breaking. If i held it just right and push it would work. Eventually i got one from a Japanese car and replaced the inner of the switch button.
Pretty simple ,make sure a shop who has a proper machine to remove the tire without damaging the sensors to be reused.
If you do not keep them you get a warning light on the dash.
It should be fine as it has 4 little rubber feet. The easiest way to prevent any problem is to wax the area well. Also you can get a small clear bra piece and add it to the panel for added protection.
Not sure why it is in general it should be in audio video.
The antenna should not help any AM reception as it it part of the rear window grid lines.
In order to get the antenna to raise you need to run a wire to the amp area under the seat to activate it as the factory amp should be controlling it from what i remember.
Trac light failures that are related to the sensors have to do with a bearing failure but the sensor is fine. It is almost impossible to press the old ones out so when you get new bearings on a new hub it will have to get a new sensor as well.
