  1. That is pretty much all there is to it. The brake booster hose is the largest hose leaving the intake manifold and connects from the engine to the brake booster. Look for the large brake fluid reservoir on the firewall in front of the driver side.
  2. As you are local if you want to get a nice set of brembo rotors i can get them cheap for you and even drilled . I find them equal if not better than stock rotors for much cheaper.
  3. I would have said a dirty throttle body or an improperly functioning IACV. If they cleaned it then there should be no problem with them. I would see if turning the key to run 3-5 times before trying to start it helps. If it does help prime the pump then you would know you have a fuel delivery problem.
  4. You may need to change your rear pads as well. If you press the brake pedal hard and then press it again hard during a stop does it brake better? If so you either need s new booster or rear pads from an nonuniform flow.
  5. All Toyota's run in the middle.
  6. I am talking about the small pin that releases the door not the hinge. Spray it with a lube then push it in and out to loosen it . Then spray it and wipe it some more then pull the emergency cable release in the trunk to loosen the full mechanism.
  7. It is your throttle body and IACV that needs cleaning.
  8. Lube the pin as it is dirty with pb blaster or white grease and work the pin in and out with your hand.
  9. That is true , as stupid as the comments where , I think it is deplorable to have the officer go and repeat them for 10 minutes of fame. He should have enough integrity to keep his mouth shut and do his job. lesser people have made more ignorant comments to police before but this one only made headlines because it degraded a persons integrity for the officer personal gain.
  10. This thread has all the info you will ever need. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...?showtopic=2406
  11. You can run a 245 on the rim easily with no problems.
  12. I know the options for route calculations on my Ipaq are shortest distance shortest time major highways local roads as well as a "reduced turn" feature for a more straight route toll roads include/avoid Are any of those present on your systems?
  13. It is a very nice wheel , but i don't personally like the styling for the RX . It is a very sporty looking style while the RX has nothing that says sport about it.
  14. Are you positive it ever worked that way?
  15. He has a 95 and newer not a first gen which is a different setup.
  16. Not really a fan of that kind of wheel but you do not need an alignment as you should have had it done before installing the new wheels. Besides most racks cannot accept a 20inch rim to align so it would have to be done with original wheels.
  17. All drunk people have a "REALLY big and stupid mouth" nothing new that hasn't been said before.
  18. 18's are best for a earlier LS as it has less power to move them as well as not having the larger wheel wells to fit them. With 18's you will have much less of a problem with rubbing if any at all especially if you want to lower the car as well.
  19. Then i would get a motorvac to remove any additional dirt which may be clogging an injector and holding it open or closed.
  20. look up 3m trimline on the web
  21. You may have a few problems not just one. When was the plugs ,wires and a throttle body cleaning last done?
  22. If you stick with 20's i would not go over 8inches wide too keep the chances of rubbing low.
  23. You are going pretty wide on the rim for an older LS. What are you doing for suspension ? 235 35 20 will not rub but the ride will be harsh and look out for bending the rims very easily.
  24. It can work great if you add 1 can to a tank of gas 1/2 to the oil and the other 1/2 through the intake. This way as you clean your intake yo are then going to clean out the residue in the oil.
  25. Very nice update and it actually looks great compared to other colour changing .
