  1. it is very possible to be the alternator check to see if the power steering pump is leaking on to it which causes an occasional problem also make sure the secondary battery connection after the terminas are secure i don't think it is an overheating problem as you would have the issue before shut down
  2. where are you located? the sludged issue was wth 97 and newer engines try a good engine flush and fuel treatment to clean up as much as possible from the engine and use synthetic fluids and you may be ok as it will start to loosen up some deposits
  3. i would have to agree do you have an aftermarket alarm as well as the lexus key one? funny enough mine tried the same thing the other day with my aftermarket alarm so i pulled the fuse and am ok for now with no 2nd alram
  4. the tapping should be the valves needing to be readjusted as there is too much lash between the valve and the camshaft from where it will have to get shims installed to adjust,odd as many other manufacturers use a self adjusting one or even just a screw nut no the valve rather than a shim try a heavier oil in the mean time i use 5w 50 in the summer mobil 1 syn it does not get hot eough to need that heavy an oil but i like the freedom if needed for heavy traffic and reduced wear i get 600 km to a tank with mixed highway and city 550 if i feel like driving harder than normal with an intkae and exhaust which also has gained a reduction in fuel
  5. if the compressor stays on it means the clutch would not disengauge meaning it should have no problem but bad response and gas milage the comprossor has a lock indicator when it will not work or move properly it makes the ac button light flash and turns off the a/c press the auto button and the recirc button at the same timeand hold then turn the key to the on position it will display a code is something is wrong

  8. that is the best idea if a company does not have a madrel bender for 3 inch pipe then don't do it as they would not have as much experiance with the metal and placement once they inverst in one of these machines then they do alot of work to pay it off

  10. not sure about the mcv20 being able to remove the amber insert i did mine 4 years ago but i only found out by accident that it aws removable when one rear light got smashed and it fell out and had a clear lens behind it since then everyone learned from my mishap i guess not sure if anyone who smashed your year lens has checked

  12. in winter it idles high to get the parts warmed up in summer it is to boost the oil pressure for inital dry starts mainly
  13. remove all that you can including the lens for the liscence plate on the sides i never reapplied more ureathane just heated and pushed it back together i also had it stand up rather than back or its front the urethane is very pliable but not stringy so once heated it reseals pretty well after cooling i did apply a new seal of silicone around the seam though
  14. Hi, Sorry for the late reply as we are currently having some technical problems with our computers. This unit connects to the wires in between the ECU and the IAT sensor. The Racing-X module intercept/modify the signals that read by the IAT sensor. Ultimately, the ECU will calculate out a better air/fuel ratio to compensate these new signals. Take a search of the Apexi S-AFC controller/JET chip and you will see that we sell a product that is basically provide the same function with much lower price. Email us if you have more questions.   15. it is simpl;e a pipe but must be made right it is not that easy to make one properly as air leaks and other problems can happen pluis it involves rolling the fender slightly to get a larger round pipe in there the noise is nothing it onlymakes noise when the throttle is at wot for what kind there is only one stlye and no one i know make a good cai just crappy short pipes not really a diy project locking up means that if the engine went in a 2 foot pool of water at a high rpm it would suck water into the engine liquids do not compress gases do so the engine would go in to lock up and the valves pistons connecting rods ans well a few other things would be vent by the compression lock that is wy it is also not a diy job since it needs a good filter and to placed properly to avoid water issues

  17. they are the stock 15 ones but shiping from canada might be crazy since it is the whole cap and about the size of 12x6x6 inches to fit all 4 with some padding since emblems can be put in a small flat package instead

  19. 92-96 es 300 to remove the cluster bezel for acess to the bulbs behine the #'s is remove 2 screws behind 2 plastic tabs,that you have to pop off then pull out and disconect the wiring harness for the buttons and the alarm light then it is 4 more screw to then pull out the whole cluster then open the back shroud which has a couple of more screws the lights are part of a twist base with a slot for a flat head screw driver once removed then replaced and reinstall the hvac controler is remove the upper vent above it then 2 screws behind it then under the radio is a plastic tab that pulls forward for to 2 nuts the whole assembly for the radio and hvac is connected together disassemble the 2 by 4 screws and open the hvac front panel and it is little bulbs also that twist off and get replaced in the base holder to be reinstalled the radio is much the same as the hvac the bulbs are available at the dealer change all as it is much simple ad about $3 a bulbs it is easier if you remove everything at once and take it to the dealer to get replacments in another car then reinstall do not turn the car on or drive it while anything is removed or it will cause problem whith the ecu also disconnect the battery the bulbs are supposed to be a 194 of sorts but it varies so be careful that is why it is easier to remove and have them to compare to the new ones

  23. do not remove the catalytic convertor i am pretty sure it is illegal almost everywhere to remove a functioning one even to replace it with a high performance one with lower back pressure you would be better off with a new exahust sytem and new bigger pipping such as a mandral bent 2.5 inch pipe and muffler it will be a bit louder to remove it but the exhaust system can be remde from just the resonator and not give it too much of an increase in noise plus the pipe isalready 2.5 up to the res and then shrinks to 2.25 inch pipe for some reason the header is made by one company fo raround $1000 as it takealot of work to make it
  24. the es abs system is pretty good usually the only problem is with the wheel hub getting too much play and not reading itself right if it does not come on when the car is started but after a bump when driven then it is one of the sensors for sure
  25. the knife would not work as the light has a fold of plastic covering the ureathane the emblems are easy to get on a new set of caps i think i have a set left over inchrome if you want to buy them by the way how much did you get you emblem set for? and where
