  1. Have any of you done so? I am looking for bushings, arms, sways, LSD, coils (I have found some and think I will run with the FLEX). I am just looking to see if there are any trick parts for the gs300. I am looking to get the 95 body for a street car.
  2. I run Tein HAs on my 240sx and love them to death. Then again this is a car that is going to see less and less street miles. I can see where you guys complain about the harshness. One question? Did you use them after the 500mile break in? They change up after some use and get more civil. I would like the flex system for my gs300. In car tuning and some stiff spring rates. If you are not going to take it on the track stay away from stiff spring rates.
  3. Hello ladies and gents I am Stanley aka StanBo from NYC and I am looking to take my 240 off the street (track use only) and drive around in a nice gs300. I joined to learn from you peoples and get involved with the Lexus family.
  4. I will also keep an eye out and cover anything you are in. My schedual is tough but there are plenty of us so one of us will get you shot.
  5. Damn I wish I would have joined earlier. I could have covered the event for you. I run with a bunch of guys from the tri-state. We compete in drift, drag, autoX and show. Shoot some of us are crossing over. One of our show guys is getting tired of babying his car and he rode shotgun with me so the infection for the track has begun. Do you have any shots of your car?
  6. You can change your speedo settings without having to change the pinion gear on the tranny sensor? Cool.
  7. Yellow might have happened due to discolored lenses or aftermarket kits.
  8. Give the guys at Motorex a call. They ship over all types of JDM cars.
  9. I have driven my friends cars that are equipped with gauge pillars. They are cool looking for stop and go traffic but I can't say I took one look at them when ripping around the course. How much are you looking to spend?
  10. There is a great wheel and sidewall calculator on the 'net. Try a search for it using www.google.com That will help you keep your rotation size close to stock. That will make it so you will not throw off your speedo. Thing is you are going from 17s to 20s correct? That is plus 3 so you are going to effect your speedo. It will show a slower speed than what is actual ;D Suspension wise you should be fine. You should get the car aligned after they are installed to keep within the stock camber and toe settings. That will also help you with tire wear. What rims are you looking for?
  11. I would stay away from the Nitto drag radials. You get what you pay for. Drag radials are for the guy that doesn't want to change tires at the track or invest in two sets of rims and tires. Their sidewalls are not the strongest (I have had them on my cars). They are for drag and need to flex. They are fun when they are warm. They get awful stick. They do not take bumps will and the sidewalls balloon. I am currently running Bridgestone Potenza S02s on my 240 and I am in deep love with them. They are 205/55/16 and they are great for street and track use. I run like a madman with them in the rain and they are great in the dry. Here is a picture of me on the track with the S02s on front and beater tires for drift on the rear. I know the S02s are also used as stock rubber on many higher end cars. I know they are stock on the s2000. I have friends that are still running them at the point where they are almost bald and they are still fantastic. I can keep going on and on about them.
  12. I tell you that is one fantastic piece of work. I love it. RWDs need dish and yours are nice. I would like to build up an older gs300 VIP style. I think it would make a great street car.
  13. I am new here so my opinion will most likely be taken lightly but you are spending way too much on what you are getting. I would rejoice for those problems. Problems for me become modifications. o2 sensors would be replaced by myself. Cat converter is not a big job and I could do that myself or run a test pipe (mod). I would also look into getting a high flow Catco cat converter. Rotors would be a big break kit or slotted (again I love to mod). It is cool that everything is running great but growing pains are always known to happen.
