Does anyone know how to disable the anti-teft ignition cut-off switch and location of it? Seems mine has a mind of its own and activates wheneever it pleases unless. I do not have an aftermarket or any other system installed. Thanks

Question - If I have a bad ignition control unit module - would it be the most likely cause for a SC400 to start most of the time and some times not? It cost about $150.00 to replace this module - The car runs normally and the dealer says he can not trouble shoot a car operating normally - I just thought maybe one of my fellow SC400 owners could provide some advise or if they expeieced similar problems and the corrective action they took.

I had a problem with, what I thought was the amp or speakers but a radio tech shop in Sanford, Florida found the cause to be water accumulation with the connector under the rear seat on the drivers side. He dried up the area ( I washed the car two days prior) cleaned the terminals, which showed signs of corrision and lubricated it witht eletrical cleaning/oil spray. Everything worked fine after that - His charge - A thanks because he had heard of other cars with similar problem and I was the first Lexius he could test his thry of the cause - and he was correct. :chairshot: I would like some advice before I take my 1992, SC400 to the dealer - The car electric door lock stopped working (Yes the key battery is new) and at the same time the car would not start. After getting it towed home, it started the next day - but the keylock did not work. After starting it and trying to restart - again it would not start. Does anyone have a clue what it might be - My theroy is something is skewed in the security system.
