a motorvac is for the engine not the tranny i cannot speak for all dealers if any but most i have seen just do a drain and fill you might need one a little better that recicualtes the fluid if interested do a search as i have expalined it a few times before the tranny kick down cable may need adjustment a tranny flush usually only helps with the intial grabbing of clutches in it as this has the most pressure but a flush can always help by the way don't use synthetic tranny fluid it will crap out it as it has for many others with this tranny

you are not supposed to use the car without the air bag in the car the ecu is sensing an open cuircit and will not let go of the code as it might be intermittent to it to make sure you know it maty have to be reset by the dealer or a complicated situation of ground 2 pins back and forth

93 Owners Name Ya Issues
SKperformance replied to MiZzLiLRuMp's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
92 and 93 has zero differences to see the chanes look at the faq as there are many that i listed for just this reason since they are frequently asked questions about the ES the 95-96 look different but are the same the 94 is going to be cheaper though i personally wouldn't spend anything on a 92-93 too much headache and less used parts as the newer engine is still in production form the 94 and up -
you got it cracks are never going to seal again a wrinkle is the begining of a crack so once it starts better start to soak it with something to replenish its oils and moisture

i had a problem with my maf also once my filterr fell off for my cold air and sucked up some dirt it does cost around 600 for a new one a wrecker can get one for much less too you also try getting a mechanic to clean it out that is all i did to mine and it has worked great for 4 years -
lol the woolite again look in the deatiling section and there is a huge list of good things to do to leather including woolite and some off the wall stuff that relly works if it is cracked there is no way to do anything now the leather is more than dyed it has a coating on it so it is very haerd for the leather to absorb anything in older lexus

i agree with amf or go and find a good 94 looks the same but has many upgraded features like a whole new engine
-
as a thought when posting probles try and put the problem and year in the title besides please help everyone here is glad to and do help even when not directly asked no how many miles on the car any problems before any recent work? how is the air fliter how fast where you going hen it died? any smoke from the tailpipe does pressing the gas pedal help it at all in turning over does it turn over slowly, or just like normal but not starting? have you checked the connections on the battery to make sure they are on good as tehre is a few sets leaving it it might be a crank position sensor or a timing belt that has broken when is the last time the belt was changed?

the creaking noise is usally cause by worn or dry bushings on the suspension front and rear the struts are worn if it is going up and down alot as the shock is a dampener which is used to slow the rate of motion a strut is basically a shock which a mount base on its body rather than just a shock cylinder which is eaisier to replace as you remove it from the body of the housing and slide in a new one just depends on the engineer who desings the suspension a shock is just like the ones that hold up the hood of the car looks the same to make it a strut , it would have a base going around it to hold the spring up against the body of the car if a car is not used much and left for to sit for long periods of time then the shocks can leak and not function properly even if not leaking as th shock tower needs to lube the the rod or else there will be a pressure loss in the chamber causeing a loss of stiffness that could be the reason with such low mileage the earlier suspension for a 92-94 seems to have had the strut assembly while the 95-96 seems to have a relpacable shock which is much cheaper and only a little bit more labour to switch

get a fuel system cleaning done it is a system which uses high pressure and cleaning agents to clean everything from injectors ,valves, combustion chamber, plugs exhaust piping and catalyst i will definatly imporve your mpg by atleast 4 mpg for about $100 makes the car drive like new then a few days after change the oil as there will be blow by which will contaminate the oil slightly
-
yes they do fit ask mcv 20 he has them in his garage i am not sure if he put them on yet though
-
as far as i know the nippon/ denso parts are OEM suppliers so it is an original part and the lexus filters are all toyota i have looked at a couple of cross reference charts and tehy suggest all elxus vehicles use the same part# for the filter which includes the v6 camry
-
use a optima battery it will last forever and the poles aer reversed it can be made to strech alittle if the wrapping is removed off the terminal wires but i replaced a bit of mine for the battery body ground and the starter and now the car works much better
-
does the light saty on or only occasionally it is probably a wheel hub with excessive play or the sensor is damaged wither way you need a new sensor as to change the hub requires a new one as it is impossoble to press the old one out an reuse it all 4 wheels have a sensor

Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick
SKperformance replied to NeiLtYmE's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
proper pil changes and changin to thicker oil for summer use helps considerably as well as synthetic i have heard tons of other ES cars and they all tick much louder than mine i guess i got lucky and kept up with the preventive maintance -
sw03es well we both seem to suffer from tehat forgetfulness thing you were talkign about earlier i can't remember what you called it omg i really can't remember it
-
you could try cleaning the sensor i had the same problem then it worked great after nomore problems
-
there is a way to check the code by shorting the light out 5 tiems at the diagnostic port going to ground on each pin 5 times but it si a pain int he !Removed! it usually takes a few tries it also clears the codes when done if no problem is going on still like if the sensor was disconnected with the battery still on then the system will register a fault of an open cuircit to tell it has seen a problem even if it is not happening anymore
-
oh yah if you do get an alignment wait atleast 2 months as the suspension will settle an go lower as after you change them you will see no difference in ride height it will only dirve harder
-
the one inch drop does not need a alignment but you could get one if it already needs it or you have different rims the one inch changes very little except the car is a little easier to control and the suspension is now slightly stiffer if you have a 95 then get new springs as well either the kyb ones for a smooth ride or the tokico ones for more harder driving as 9 years is a long time for stock suspensioni why put them together to just take em apart a year later
