are you thinking about it or wanting to do something that horible to the car?
It might look nice if it is in a brushed aluminum style then clear coated a couple of times. But it would also need alot more matching truim to look right
folia tec sells kits to repaint interior peices but not sure what would go.
if you take normal maintance as long as you seem to it won't last very long
the o2 sensor controls the amount of gas used by the engine
if they don;t work tehn the car is unsure of its power production causing an inbalance especially in a v8 compared to the 300 it can also foul the oil other o2 sensors and cat never mind the overheating problem
you are not doing you self anygood by saving a few cents and not getting it done now.
fix the poor car or you might need to get a new car
also as long as the cel trac light is on the trac will not work either.
might be an odd thought but try putting a little bit of wd 40
not too much as it is electrical contacts in the back of the cylinder
you say the green led is on but is the rest of the hvac controller also on?
i have a similar problem on my civic but it is caused by the metal contacts being damged in the key cylinder,it lets the car stat but as soonas you let go it dies.
what else stays on
it might be a bad conection in the cylinder key not disconecting
or make sure it is not just releasing the key before it gets to the off position in the acessory one
how do you knwo the o/d is not working
does the rpms change easily with the gas pedal?
you may not have reconnected the wire that goes over the filter properly or not filled it with enough fluid causing it to not engage properly
you don;t want to use wd 40 on an electrical ontact
it is flammable and the contacts create sparks
it may help the switch move better but use something else
that has to be the stupidest thing to say
since when are any of us toyota engineers
make your own decsion
you can listen to the guy who thinks he is an engineer but can't fix the missing leak
or the people who made the car
everybody is a critic
the t/c is a really good thing but it is more for later on in a build up
i would belive intelex as they know alot of the good the bad and the crap parts as they have tried them all.
but it is only good after an exhuast and all the minor upgrades as it would include removal of the transmission just to put it in. A whole lot of money for .5 secs on a built motor not stock
so 899 plus install is a whole lot of cash
it would be better to get an upgraded tranny at the same time but only if you were doing alot of dragging
buy some good suspension, wheels or a big brake supra TT kit and you would spend the money much better
oh yah or a nice jic titanium exhuast
i agree with some things
how and what did the tech hit a wall another car or was rear ended?
we can't say the tech was at fault or the dealership
but they are responsible to fix it
i agree on another loaner adn ask for something nice like an a new rx 330
give head office a shout if they aren;t being forth coming
try and be a little more detailed
like is the switch stuck in the high position
what happens if you press on it
is the light on the switch
you know the little details
try popping the switch up and seeing if the little clear plastic over the light has fallen inside causeing the switch to be stuck
your going to have to open it up to find the problem or rectify it
it probably is a broken regulator arm assembly
does it go slowly then stop
go normally then stop in one position and when it stops does it make any weird noises when the button is pushed?
more than likely a speed sensor in the tranny
the cluster is unlikely unless you are getting other malfunctioning gauges
and give the person a kick in the !Removed! for saying it is a cable as there is none
i would have said the abs wheel hub sensor
but you didn;t mention that it came on either
if the trac light comes on it should have a code related to it
the rims should fit and drive fine as all lexus offsets are only 5-7 mm away from anyother
in such a small (15 inch ) rim there would be no problem at all to drive as long as you want
if you want to replace and get another set of rims for some reason then just get another aftermarket set which would be about the same price for a used set of oem ones and these new ones would be to whatever you style is.
there is the install dash kit which is probably what you already have as well as another wiring bypass which has rca outputs
you CANNOT ADD A DECK TO THE EXISTING AMP
WITHOUT bypassing it first
or using preout leads only anything above that will fru you amp as it is too much voltage
the speaker sizes are all over the site and they are dead on easy to replace in either size 6 or 5 for the front door
it is better to use new wiring for everything or you will make more time butchering up the car, rather than doing it right the first time and once. as you now already have burned the amp
a sub can be added to any system even a stock one with the use of a line level adapter from the speaker wires to make a preout but you already have preouts it just won't be adjustable like a dedicated sub output
oh yah i think the same above options where also on the soarer as well
so the LS , SC, AND GS.
the most the ES got was the variable electronic suspension
i also had that problem of the case cracking where the key chain slot is
but i was stupid enough to be turning the key by using the rest of the keys for, instead of the keys itself some reason ,
till i realized it was adding strain which is why it cracked
i some how don't think it is anything to do with the speedo since i m pretty sure you have a speed sensor not a steel cable to the dash
so there is no noise atributed to it
it is more than likely the heater control moving the servos in the dash to adjust the vents and temp as time goes on some get louder
turn off the car and change the temp dial in auto and notice if the sounds are the same
