  1. Most all aftermarket caps just raise the pressure to the same limit, i don;t remeber the specs
  2. try turnig the key a few times to prime the pump and pressure of the system to see if it stops it may be a bad pump or filter if it does stop
  3. It may be small amounts of moisture causing rust on your new pads if they are mettalic, once they get burned off it goes quiet do you park you car outside?

  5. for $5 buck you can buy a tester for coolant and it will show you the boil point and freeze pooints ,so you know if it is any good or not, it can be smelly or dirty but still be fully capable of worknig fine.

Ok to make things simple, if you think it is a fuel pressure problem from the filter or the pump turn the key and wait until it stops from building inital pressure then turn it off and do it again 3 times total, if it starts right up then you might have a pressure problem, If not then you need to look at otehr areas, what maintance have you done since owning it? and most important what year is the car???????????//
  7. I asked a few simpl questions to the poster and got no answer. If the poster had wanted to make a good effort in proving he was wronged ,the person would have filled in every possible part of the process in a timeline format and summary ,instead made a stupid email and said help this guy did me wrong. To me he did not receive any service but a part was ordered. Do you go to lexus and get service when buying a shirt ? No it is a sale not service.
  8. It was the nature of the pulley and the alternator not a specific car. All of them have the problem unless it got a rebuild alt with a smaller pulley. Which is why Toyota stopped using such a large pulley.
  9. If they truly told you 6 hours and would not show you the book which is also illegal by the way. Call head office and let them know or their buisness practises.

  11. new synthetic oil cleans off old debris easily and can cause small short leaks where normal oil has been used and the gaskets have swollen

  14. If you are losing coolant you proably have overheated already and caused the head gasket to blow or it has just blown and is now burning coolant. Get a compression test on the cooling system and the combustion chambers

  16. I am not talking what its specs should be i am talking about what in reality they are. I have yet to find an older ES that is under 1000 rpms that puts out 14.4vdc at idle once the engien is hot and been run for a while ,which is why toyota made a newer pulley in 97-98 for the alternator to speed it up to create proper VDC at idle instead of under powering it. p.s. i Use a 80 series fluke.

  20. As a buisness owner i get *BLEEP*ed of by stupid people looking for ways to destroy other because they want more for less and don;t get it by sulking. To me from reasinf this LLS has dones everything they needed to which was kind enoguh to sell bulbs they don;t do. If his guy wanted overnight then he should have paid for overnight instead of proabably bulk shipping. They are bulbs you don;t just throw them in an envelope and expect them not to be crushed in transit. This isn;t a serious complaint JR this is pure crap ,if LLS had gotten a cluster and siad they would not fix it or return it then it is serious. If he had paid instantly with a credit card and paid fo rovernight then he might have gorunds to complain but to me this is just another whiner. Which is why i invited LLS to respond directly than just respond through me. Nothing is better than the horses mouth.
  21. Don't buy the ML although it drives nice it is a hunk of junk the S 430 is nice as is the S500 but get a E500 for less and get more including a better resale. The SC is a nice car but asss ugly to me but it will last for years to come. The rx is a nice machine also with a ferw small quirks which have been worked out. If you want a carerra then their is little to compare it to in the arena of cars , to me i would merge the 2 and get an M5 to get room and speed with comfort all of which all the cars above have as best traits except perfect reliability but it is very good.
  22. to be more specific since you are asking again in oppostition................. at "idle"( 600-800 rpm) with a hot engine the 94 will not put out 14.4vdc

  24. their was a guy a while ago who had the same problem on his LS i forgot what he did to finally get it off.
