    You might want to take your vehicle to an Auto-Electric shop. The ones I've been to over the years are electrical experts at finding the cause of issues such as yours.

    Often brake pads will emit a high-pitched sound when the brake pedal is applied. If so, and you're not savy with DIY brake jobs, then you can always take it to an independent shop to diagnose and fix.

    You're welcome, Art. The video includes mention of separate controls for the headsup display position. I had something similar in my 2001 Corvette. It was a separate buttom/switch. Do you not have something like this on the left side of your steering column?

    I think that alignment shop should be avoided. It looks like you have excessive negative camber. I suggest you take your car to a well-regarded alignment shop, quickly.

    Although Lexus ES models have been extremely reliable, you should always request maintenance records from the owner. If there are big mileage gaps between oil/filter changes, you should steer clear. See if you can find on online maintenance schedule for the year car you are interested in, before you call the owner or look at the car.

    I've never seen mention of something like that happening with just the factory setup, which makes me think it DOES have something to do with the alarm. If you can, check any wire connections to the alarm module to see if one is loose. Wiggle each to see if the locks act up.

    That plastic section of two halves should be able to be pulled apart after the screw is removed. I would NOT use a hammer.

    Do you know if they are HID bulbs? Whenever you change these bulbs, you should wear thin Nitrile gloves to prevent skin oil from rubbing onto the glass bulb. Did you take this precaution?

    I think a big part of this is the EV mandate that is forcing manufacturers to invest heavily in vehicles that require far more electronics than ever before. This is putting a huge strain on auto manufacturers, as chip manufacturers cannot keep up. It's not just Lexus. Other manufacturers are leaving off options until the assemblies are available.

    Update: I bought a Lexus "shell", about a year or two ago and it works perfectly. I may have bought it on Amazon. The original shell was cracked beyond repair.

    A quick look at Crutchfield reveals that there are quite a few stereo/navigation options for our 2006 RX400h. I'm not sure why they have nothing for your (same age) LX470. Perhaps not as many were sold.

    Hello, James. those should be things that a respected independent auto repair shop or a Toyota dealership can do for less. Do you know what the codes are? Are there any drivability issues?

    Yes, I believe they do use salt. Perhaps my memory has faded, as I try not to visit relatives during Winter months. My guess is that it is highly unlikely that there would be an option like that with a vehicle that is 14 years old. How often do you have the need to use the squirter?

    Hi, Isabella. It may be difficult to sell a vehicle within California if the vehicle cannot pass a smog test. This is because the seller is responsible for making sure the vehicle passes the test before making a sale. You may want to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair to discuss your options. Did your mechanic tell you why the car did not pass?

    Often, any smears are a sign that your wipers are getting worn and need to be replaced.

    Did you wipe it off and then reinstall the stick? Sometimes, the first time you pull the stick, it shows higher than appropriate levels. Also, wait 5 minutes or more after you shut off the engine. If it still reads high, then yes, you or they should drain the extra amount.

    Is there no way to manually upon it? If you can get to the motor, you should be able to check that wires are supplying voltage to it when either activation method is used.
