I have Cracking sound on my steering when I start in the morning and turn to left or right on my 2010 Lexus RX 350. Was told this could be my Electronic Power Steering unit? And it is a very labor intensive of $2000 or more.

Hi everyone, I own a 2010 Lexus RX 350 with 116400 miles. When I put my foot on the Brake pedal to start, it is extremely hard and it does not start and it takes few minutes to start. I was told by the dealer that I may have a bad booster check valve or a bad booster which is going to cost me few hundred or more. Any feedback or recommendation is much appreciated.
