  1. Have you checked the main relay and fuel pump fuses?
  2. It was certainly ahead of its time. In fact, it was faster than the Porsche Cayenne and had much better fuel mileage..
  3. Do you have a mechanic's stethoscope? You can get one at Harbor Freight at a low price. It will come in handy to pinpoint the source of the sound.
  4. Are you sure it's not coming from the engine bay?
  5. You might want to look for a part by this name in one or more of the Lexus OEM part suppliers: Genuine OEM Lexus Parts and Accessories Online - Lexus Parts Now Online Lexus Parts Superstore | OEM Parts Online My L Parts | OEM Lexus Parts & Accessories | Manufacturer Warranty | MyLexusParts
  6. It could be a door lock actuator. I had the same problem with my 2001 Corvette when it was only a few years old.
  7. Have you followed these tips when setting up the vehicle's seat? Lexus RX (RX 350L, RX450h) 2016-2023 Owners Manual - Child restraint system fixed with a seat belt - Child restraint systems
  8. Have you tried doing a reset? SB-10087547-5448.pdf (nhtsa.gov)
  9. Our RX400h is over 18 years old and has been the most reliable vehicle (of that age) we ever had. It still averages 25 MPG and does 0-60 MPH in 6.6 seconds - not bad for a big, heavy SUV!
  10. My bet is that they'll be just fine.👍
  11. I would say KYBs. I've had them on another car and they were very good.
  12. You may need a Toyota/Lexus OBD reader to see the codes. Which type of code reader do you have?
  13. You may be able to inquire with a Lexus dealership parts department employee who can access electronic drawings of the assembly for your vehicle trim.
  14. Hello, Marc. Have you tried this? SB-10087547-5448.pdf (nhtsa.gov)
  15. I had our RX400h's replaced at 120,000 miles. You may want to check your maintenance manual for specifics on your model.
  16. Thanks for the tips. I did this with home speakers and a subwoofer - definitely worth the effort.
  17. Some AC troubleshooting tips:
  18. I believe the vehicle age deadline for free replacement was 10 years. I don't think any other manufacturer would replace defective parts that are 10-13 years of age. Our dash was replaced in 2015 or 2016. Our Lexus is 18 years old, and the inside door rest (driver's) soft surface is distorted but I certainly would not expect a free replacement.
  19. Did the dealership check the battery health and any ground connections that may be loose?
  20. If you can wiggle the connector that is near the bulb (if there is one), while the light should be on, that may be a good indicator of a connection problem.
  21. Typically, that is a dealership part.
  22. There could be a problem with the wiring connector.
  23. It could be a loose shock absorber nut or bolt, If your warranty has expired, you might want to take it to a reputable alignment shop that has lots of experience checking and replacing suspension components.
  24. Perhaps you should call your local Lexus dealership Parts Department to verify.
  25. If the distance driven by that owner were low, I'd suspect that short trips that did not result in sufficient battery charge would be the culprit. In the least, a current draw test should be performed to see if there is still excessive draw on the battery. You can also check to verify that the alternator is adequately charging the battery. I wonder why the car was auctioned.
