  1. I plan to do it while wearing tin foil mittens ankle deep in salt water.
  2. Has anyone done a DIY hybrid battery replacement on a LS600hL? I have just ordered a reconditioned battery that is due next week, and was hoping I wasn't going to be trail blazing on this. Unless I find someone else's guide, I will plan to document my process to serve as a cautionary tale to the rest.
  3. I am coming up dry on this one as well. Was hoping for a bike rack mount in the back, but gave up. Currently exploring roof rack options and am amazed how little I am finding there as well. Good luck. Let us know if you find anything.
  4. Restoring my 2008 LS600hL to its former glory and need various small trim and parts to make it whole again. I am hoping someone is parting out a LS600hL, or some of the parts may be common with the LS460. Might be common with LS460: - Chrome shifter knob - Drivers B-Pillar upper inside panel (around seat belt) - Cashmere LB00. - Little plastic piece that fits in the top of the front center console shift pattern indicator. - Rear right bottom seat leather - cashmere LB00 Definitely only from LS600hL: - Rear cabin air filter cover panel. (black trunk rug) - Battery tie down bar and nut - 12V battery cover fastener/knob - Hybrid battery disconnect cover (black trunk rug)
  5. I have a long and deep history installing and modifying stereos in cars. If you have the Mark Levinson sound system, trust me that you you do not want to modify it much - it is excellent as far as stock stereos go. The possible exception may be the source itself. I have opted to add streaming bluetooth by adding a BT45-TOY module ($150 from amazon). It works very well. If you are swapping out the in-dash unit and sending signal level sound to the stock amplifier, that would be the more in-depth yet good solution. The Mark Levinson speakers and amplifier should be left alone at all cost - they are very very good.
  6. Proud new owner of a 2008 LS600hL and I will be spending the next year restoring it to its former glory. I need various bits and pieces to make it complete. Is anyone aware of someone parting out a LS600hL? Need things like battery tie down bar, rear cabin filter cover, battery cover fastener, B-pillar interior panel, etc. Thanks all!
