  1. Check around at some of the detailing stores on the web (just search for auto detailing supplies) theres a nice long handled chenille mop that is supposed to work well.
  2. Just use some dawn, it wont hurt the blade.
  3. I think a year and a half before the car is purchased is way overkill for buying wheels yes ;)
  4. You can use the 1:6 Woolite to clean all of it. The seat surfaces, headrests sans sidesm steering wheel rim, armrests (doors too) and door inserts are leather, as are the grab handles.
  5. Hopefully mine will do just as good a job.
  6. Yes ALL LS wheels will fit all generations of the LS.
  7. Weird... I have no explanation for you, hopefully Steve or Matt will when they see this.
  8. What should I buy, a Saleen S7 or a Ford Focus...I just can't decide. Timex or Rolex? I loved my apartment until I saw that 17,000 square foot mansion. I smell something a little rotten in denmark ;)
  9. Check out www.cellport.com
  10. Theres two threads one in the SC forum also, until Matt fixes the glitch I can't combine them lol
  11. Whats rattling around is supposedly the sound absorption material.
  12. Thats not at all what I was told, results from the independent wax test don't support that either. The 476 and the 915 are the same wax, they have a liquid Fleetwax which is 476 liquid. Sounds like that guy was a little confused...
  13. As long as its not a cleaner wax go right ahead!
  14. The Scratch X should work too.
  15. The black wood comes on the SportDesign GS300s here in the states. I know a lot of owners have tried to get their hands on the wood/leather wheel from Japan...
  16. Welcome to the LOC! B) I say chrome, just because I can't get used to dark wheels on cars, they always look dirty and in the need of cleaning. The chrome lips help, but I still say chrome.
  17. No I agree, the guy over at CL was asking for it, but here he would have recieved a warning, three warnings and he'd be banned. We believe that everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. What I dont like about CL is you make a moderator or an admin mad, and you may as well pack your bags. They have a "you should thank God you're allowed to be here" mentality that just isn't neccisary. I heard it straight from Ethan's mouth, they have a "ban first" policy. Meaning if they don't like you for whatever reason (even if you dont break any rules, Ethan told me this also) they ban you and never even tell you about it or attempt to contact you. They ban people just because they don't "fit in" (he told me this also). Unless you have over 3000 posts and/or are a premium paid member, your future at CL is not secure. Get in an argument with the wrong person, and you're gone. Its a nice site, but I'm very happy to have the chance to work to make a home for Lexus owners where they can feel comfortable and feel welcomed. You dont have to thank us for the right to be here. I'm OVERJOYED to present Lexus enthusiasts with an alternative. Not to say CL is bad or their members are bad, a lot of our members are members there and they (including you blue) are all great people. I just really don't like the way the place is run. They have lost all perspective that its about INCLUSION not EXCLUSION. Bringing Lexus owners together, not segregating the ones away that you feel "don't mesh". Apparently lots of other people feel the same way, explains why our membership increases more every month then theirs.
  18. Thats an excellent deal on the car...
  19. Check out www.lexus.com and put in your address and search. There's DeFeo Lexus off of Rt 22 in Bound Brook, my fiance says thats 20 minutes from Princeton depending on where you live (she's from Branchburg).
  20. Thats also a common brainwashing tactic. It is illegal for them to require you to use a Lexus dealer for service to avoid voiding the warranty. Like Steve said if you keep the service reciepts then theres no way they can void your warranty. Jersey is full of places like that too, great independent mechanics.
  21. The Megs plastic cleaners are nowhere near as powerful as the Novus. I find them more or less useless. You can use any type of swirl remover or paint cleaner also, try picking up some Meguiars #9 from your local auto parts store. Spend some time working it in.
  22. I've not used it but know several people who do. Its a good product, has some cleaning properties so it can't really be layered like other polymer sealants. The best thing about it is all the Meguiars line is interchangeable so with a sealant like Klasse or Zaino you would have to strip the oils from polishing before applying the sealant, with the #20 you dont have to do that. Its fairly durable. Meguiars is coming out with a new Polymer Sealant in Feb. called "NXT Tech Wax" that should be fantastic...
  23. And actually there is a significant value difference if your car is well cared for vs if it was not when you go to trade it in. When my dad traded his 98 LS they gave him ABOVEblue book for it right off the bat because it was in such great shape. When I was looking at CPO LS400s the price was 2-3k more always for a car is excellent condition.
  24. The euro car is closer to 63k. I love my dad's LS430, he has the UL pkg with all the gizmos, thats the 70k car.
  25. I'm just using it to justify new tires LOL
