  1. Awesome! Just the other day I was wanting something so I could maintain the air pressure at home and not have to drive to the gas station. You want to check and inflate the tires while they're cold, and in the time it takes to drive to the gas station they warm up, meaning the pressure is never really exactly right. I'll order one immediately!
  2. I'd stick with 5W30 thats what Lexus reccomends... I agree with sk on all counts also BTW ;) Welcome to the LOC!
  3. Did the remote start come with its own alarm... Did you have it professionally installed... The place that installed the remote start really should have bypassed the factory system.
  4. My guess is its actually in the rear doors simply because all Gen III ES' seem to have this rattle. If I remember right they already tried to fix that concern on your car, so maybe it is something different... Sometimes the seatbelt can become loose in its attatchment to the B pillar (the pillar between the front and rear doors) maybe thats it... What kind of rattle is it, can you describe it? Its also possible its engine pinging, sometimes its hard to actually pin down where its coming from and it can seem like a metallic rattle. The motor will ping if it gets bad gas...
  5. Its funny we were in NJ visiting my fiancee's family for New Years and her cousin's husband was riding in my car and he commented how odd it was the car had no audio controls on the wheel (he has a Rav 4). I'd say look forward to them, but I dunno. Lexus already has a corporate wheel with the controls, and the same wheel on our ES300s comes on the GS equipped with audio controls and has since 2001. I dont get it myself...
  6. VERY difficult and takes a lot of technique. As paints get harder and harder it gets even MORE difficult. I think you may want to look into investing in a Porter Cable polisher ;)
  7. Actually the technique that I and the people that turned me onto the 476 use comes straight from a Collinite representative as an answer to the difficulty in removal when its dry. Do a small section and let it dry, then see how hard it is to remove. Its almost impossible... Thats pretty common with products like these, one application technique works well in theory, but not in reality. Lots of sealants like Klasse and Zaino are famous for "official" application techniques that are needlessly difficult. Its may slightly hinder its durability wiping it off still wet but it doesnt seem like it. If you want to be safe apply two coats, its still easier than removing just one when its allowed to dry.
  8. Spray bottle works best simply because it saves work, you wont have to re-mix it every time you want to clean something.
  9. Just a reminder- This forum is for discussing wheels and tires, NOT selling or buying them from or by members. Please use the Buy and Sell forum for that. Thanks!
  10. A rear main seal leak is new to me, sludging sure, but the seal leak I have not heard about... Have you changed the oil regularly?
  11. ALL LS430s that have nav have bluetooth ;)
  12. Nope, few owner adjustible settings. Lexus can show you a pamphlet of what can be changed and do it for you. Most dealers do it for free.
  13. You can remove scratches by hand, its just very difficult.
  14. Lexus does sell an Escaine cleaner which works well. You can also use Woolite 6:1 ;)
  15. Glad it worked out!
  16. My Collinite survived the NJ acid rain test! LOL
  17. I wouldnt use the MF towels for Armor All Lovin the 476 ;)
  18. I agree with what everyone else has said here. "Pimpin" is simply a slang term, one I hear every day. We have no right to remove his avatar, and I think the response here has overwhelmingly shown that the majority of our members don't mind, so our hands are tied. Sorry, but we can't please everybody ;)
  19. Are you sure its not the common rear door rattle?
  20. We're > than ClubLexus all around (shhh ;) )
  21. I think we'll definately see some minor styling tweaks in 05. New front facia, new tails, new wheels etc. Other than that any equipment changes are totally speculation, Toyota is VERY tight lipped.
  22. I'd say a 40-50 lb bag over each wheel is plenty.
  23. Cars make all kinds of funny noises when they've just been shut off, don't worry about it.
  24. $34 plus $10 for the holder ;) http://www.lexus-parts.com/partdetail.asp?...ubCategoryID=22
  25. The Toyo Proxes are summer tires, none too good for Chicago ;)
