  1. Its the speakers, the amp, the whole system geometry.
  2. Honestly? I think thats too much money for an '01. You might see '01s listed on AutoTrader for $19-20k but they aren't selling for that. I'm in the market for an '05-'06 and I can buy an '05 all day long for $24-26k or so... It also doesn't have every option as its not a UL car, its a mid-optioned nav/lev car that MSRP'd for $64k or so.
  3. LOL, very true. Yeah you better go down to the old folks home when the people from Jitterbug are there and see if you can snap one up ;) The industry is absolutely moving towards data phones and texting phones. Won't be long and phones without a full keyboard won't even exist, they just aren't compatible with how people communicate nowadays...
  4. YouTube? Seriously? Why don't you quote Wikipedia while you're at it. In the link you posted by the way, hardly a word for word "plagarism", the overriding theme is the same yes but what other famous speech one-liners that have the same "call to action" theme would you use? There aren't many, and they aren't even in the same order here. Politicians don't write their own speeches by the way...speechwriters do. Could have been the same speechwriter. If you look long enough, with the number of speeches that have been given by the many speakers in the world I would be surprised if there was a speech given by anyone you couldn't link back to some other speech given by someone at some point in history. I have no problem with criticism and being critical of anyone, but you've got to have some better source than snippets put together on YouTube by some kid with nothing better to do than go back and watch hundreds of speeches until he hears something that sounds similar and then cue them up perfectly so it appears that of course he's a fraud. If you want to see what these yahoos can cook up and make look real convincing, look up "9/11 conspiracy" on YouTube...hardly a source. The Constitution is a living document my friend. There is no way something written in 1789 can infallably dictate how we should proceed in 2009. We've differed with the Constitution a lot, as we were meant to do, thats why there are 27 amendments to the Constitution. In what way does what Obama wants to do differ so much from the Constitution?
  5. I literally understood none of that LOL Blake, I actually wound up ordering it from MacMall and cancelled the order through my company. MacMall was like $7 cheaper than the rep at my company, but I would have had to pay tax through Apple and didn't have to pay tax from MacMall. Thats only on the 13" one though, the pricing through my company is tiered and on the more expensive models is cheaper, the 17" for instance is 10% off through my company. Although, once you factor in the tax MacMall is still cheaper... That depends on whether MacMall has to charge you tax in your state. I got Office and I got Paralells, it was free with the purchase of the Mac and Office was only $50. I'm going to try and not use the Paralells, but since it was free I figured I may as well go ahead and get it and I'll have it if I need it. You get a free printer too...so in the end I wound up with the Mac, Office, Paralells, and a printer for $1,150...not bad. It arrives tomorrow :snoooorrrtttt:
  6. Yeah I went back and forth on it, had to work a few things out with my company about the network and all. Looking forward to it!
  7. Actually I like the looks of the 2010 Prius better than the HS...
  8. Guess what I bought? A Mac. 13.3" MacBook Pro 2.26gGhz, 2GBRAM, 160GB HD. I'm going to upgrade it to 4GB when I get it. Should be here Tuesday, had to order it through my company's Apple rep to get the special pricing. I'm excited!
  9. Got some kind of proof of that?
  10. I have a BlackBerry and its a love/hate relationship. The hate is that I cannot escape my email...ever. Its constantly and always with me, which is good and bad. I LOVE the iPhone. The web experience and apps on it are definately a step above the BlackBerry. However, I write a lot of email on my BlackBerry and the real keyboard is easier and faster than the iPhone's virtual keyboard...
  11. Thats a pretty graphic video... However it will have no impact on teens. Teens don't internalize that these things can happen to them, they mentally can't do it.
  12. Looks good. Can you see the grain of the wood through that like the darker trim some of the models come with?
  13. Its probably impossible, I bet the glass and the LCD desplay are one peice. Prying it out with a screwdriver is going to gouge everything out and look worse...
  14. It can't just be cheap...otherwise why would the Prius have the extending visor? They left plenty of stuff out of the Prius to be cheap...like seat adjustments... There has to be another reason...
  15. Absolutely, thats why you have the right to take it wherever you want. You didn't pay $300 for an oil change, that was a 5k maintenance package, oil change, tire rotation, a bunch of inspections, a loaner, and a carwash and vacuum. Still expensive definately. You'll pay $100 or so for that service at Toyota and get no loaner, I oay $75 at my independent shop with no loaner and not including any oil (I bring my own). $300 is high though, even for a Lexus dealer.
  16. Yeah I don't like the new Benz S Class like IP either, I much prefer the classic LS setup.
  17. I think the styling updates alone are enough to buy the 04 and up, drive wise they are probably about the same. The 04 has the 6th gear, so highway economy is a little better probably.
  18. Could be either. Sometimes when that black material gets scuffed it stays scuffed. What have you tried to use to remove it?
  19. Agreed, can you post pictures? Egg can be incredibly destructive to the paint...it may not be removable...
  20. My guess is its a scuff made when removing some sort of protective material put on the dash from the factory, and it very commonly scuffs which is why you see it in many cars...weird...
  21. I'd rather spend $3Billion that helps than throw $50 Billion at them in a bailout that didn't do anything to help them. This is stimulus that works... You're not paying for people's new cars...you're paying for stimulus in an effort to get our economy moving again...and its working.
  22. He said they were fine, he said the ball joints were fine too...
  23. Well my friend, I think you've got a bad case of "If its not right for me, it shouldn't be right for anybody else". You're not an American anyways...its our problem not yours. The program works... The government can't decide for people whether a purchase decision is right for them or not. Banking restrictions are much tighter keeping people from getting loans when they aren't creditworthy, the government is providing this incentive to people that gets the economy moving and helps people get into vehicles that are safer and more reliable. Its up to individual people to decide whether they can make a purchase or not. You are operating on the assumption that anyone who buys something in this economy is foolish and impoverished and thats just not the case. In fact, buying things you need in this economy if you are stable and secure is one of the smartest decisions someone can make. Even luxury items you want and don't need...boats...planes...etc are much cheaper in this economy.
  24. Lexus dealer...www.paintscratch.com...you need the color code...
  25. Basically just uploading pictures to the internet, no Photoshop or anything like that. My wife suggested the Netbook..only issue is I use the laptop at the office to write contracts and look at listings and that sort of thing, I'd be slightly concerned about the screen...
