  1. Correct, I was looking in the mechanical catalog and since the ls400 is the only one in the 400 class with actuators that's all that came up. Technically the gs400 doesn't have actuators, it's considered a lock assembly and in the collision catalog. ABQ, If you're going to buy new ones and are going to throw away any of the old ones, I'd like to look at one and see if they are really not repairable. I'd be willing to pay for shipping. This is a common problem that's pretty expensive to repair. I'd like to see why they fail and if they can be repaired.
  2. Remember his actuators were sticking in the heat! <_< ← ← You should be able to find them all here for about a 3rd of the price.
  3. Remember his actuators were sticking in the heat! <_<
  4. You're better off flushing the tranny, if it hasn't been changed in a while, as you'll only be mixing dirty, worn out fluid with new fluid. <_<
  5. 4 bolts hold the seat down, unbolt and go from there! The sunroof rattle is a common problem, search! <_<
  6. It's amazing what you can find when you SEARCH :chairshot: I guess it's a forgotten art. Thank guy for this
  7. Display ribbon cable connection is probably on it's way out <_<
  8. O2 sensor shot or EGR clogged from his little escapade. <_<
  9. If the battery took a dump and was on it's last legs, yes! Could be a loose connection or corrosion as well on the battery, simulating the above scenario.
  10. Sounds like the OEM alarm is going off and the battery is about dead, also preventing it from starting? <_<
  11. Who cares about the cost of the ticket??? It's the points that get you <_<
  12. I hope he doesn't have NAV, that's the first sign of a very expensive fix <_<
  13. It's OBD2 so someone with a scan tool might pick something up, if it stored a code. Best thing is probably go to Lexus or toyota and have them scan it.
  14. Tha a/c is really a personal choice, depending on your local and personal needs. It's necessity to me. You will save some gas and free up some HP removing it. <_< If you do just go to a parts store and get a shorter belt. Maybe one for a supra with no a/c. <_< Do the brakes yourself! Use factory pads if you want to reduce squeal, check the wear indicator on your current pads.
  15. If you're buying an SRT intake to save gas, you're wasting your money! There are lots of ways of saving gas and most of them are free! <_<
  16. If you had searched you would have found it's a common problem, bad strut <_<
  17. Sure could! They may need to be lubed, have dust in them? The only real way to be sure is to check it out. I would try cleaning and lubing the lock mechanism and see if that helps. If it does you owe me a cold one if I'm ever in ABQ. :D
  18. Sounds like the lock mechanism(actuator) is sticking. Pretty expensive <_<
  19. Yes, disconnect both harnesses and jump from one to the other. There is a bypass harness for other toyota vehicles, it may work for you.
  20. Or you could try pulling the TCU fuse and letting it relearn your driving habits, search for how <_<
  21. Just make sure the cables are tight and that the alternator is charging <_<
