  1. if you haven't already, replace cap and rotor, plugs and wires. Oil sender could be bad
  2. Alot of newer vehicles no longer use a "cable" to connect the accelerator to the throttle body. It's all connected by wires. A faulty PPS would cause the car to behave erratically when concerning throttle. Look at the accelerator pedal near the top or middle and see if you see any wires.
  3. Either behind the dash or glovebox or in the trunk <_<
  4. It seems to be a rare, however common problem, the quote was from member MDCRABCAKE with a similar problem. I'm betting the Pedal position sensor is on the throttle pedal. . <_<
  5. Clunking sounds like the struts are bad, check for visible oil leakage. Also do the brake shim kit will help with any brake noises. Rotors might be warped, if the steering wheel was shaking. <_< Antilock prevents the cars brakes from locking up.
  6. Awww! I missed that important bit of info B)
  7. evaporator drain line clogged, or case surrounding evaporator cracked. <_<
  8. :D Thanks Monarch for the heads up! I picked up one at my local walmart, we'll see how it works out. B)
  9. You can use any good quality fuel injection cleaner. It might take a a few tankfuls mixed with fuel injector cleaner to do the job, especially if you've never done it before. You can buy some carb cleaner in a can at walmart. Remove the air hose going into the intake and you'll probably see lots of black gunky buildup. Spray the cleaner into the throttlebody and using a toothbrush scrub as much off as possible off the throttle plate. Spray cleaner into any openings in the throttle body to flush them out. Be careful you don't lose the spray wand inside the throttle body. <_<
  10. As long as it's on the throttlebody and you feel suction , it's all going to the same place in the end. <_<
  11. I usually just dump a half can in the tank and the other in the oil filler it will get to all the same places circulating through the oil. Then I change the oil, some people leave it in, however I run it at a fast idle for 20 minutes then change the oil and filter. <_< you can also find a vacuum line on the throttle body and have it suck some through there as well.
  12. Clean and or replace the actuator and lube the lock mechanism <_<
  13. I use a paper manual, it's pretty big, 2 huge volumes. It cost about $100 and up <_< I bought a CD manual initially off EBay and it was a joke, the paper manual is so much more detailed.
  14. Sounds like the ballasts are going out! Much like a flourescent ligh, you have to turn the switch on and off many times to get it to work, before it finally quits working all together. You can swap the light from side to side to check the bulbs. The ballast can be damaged by low voltages or high voltages (hence alternator going bad). <_<
  15. Sounds like the oil pan bolt is stripped, or the gasket may be leaking. Also check the filter for tightness. <_<
  16. Here is another alternative I found! heatshield
  17. Alot of vehicles have a threaded rod going into the master cylinder that allows adjustment of the pedal height. Not sure if the 98GS3 is that way. <_<
  18. One more tip!!! DO NOT DEPRESS THE BRAKE ONCE THE CALIPER IS OFF!!! <_<
