  1. I believe only pioneer changers will work with the pioneer systems. However I thought PIONEERSUBY had cables to adapt from the original changer to a newer pioner with the pbus connector. The only other way to do it with a non pioneer unit is fm modulated. Or wait for the new VAIS module to come out. You still wouldn't be able to control it through the OEM headunit.
  2. Hey, tks for your input.... can you please tell me more about it. ← Search and yee shall find
  3. I had the exact same problem, sent mine to A&N Technologies, S. Plainfield NJ 908-222-8768, they fixed it for $306 ← For that price you could have bought a brand new pioneer changer and the cable to adapt it as well <_<
  4. Sounds like a leak in the case surrounding the evaporator for drainage. Very expensive to fix!!! <_<
  5. Ebay or PIONEERSUBY or DCFISH might have something! <_< Not really worth repairing, buy new, used or aftermarket.
  6. Underwear Is Important B) Always wear clean underwear in public, especially when working under your vehicle. From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story of a Crestview couple who drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot. The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis. Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underwear turned private parts into glaringly public ones. Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts, and tucked everything back into place. On regaining her feet, she looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by. The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead!!!
  7. Meguires is what leatherseats.com recommends and what I use. I've also heard great stuff about apple leather care products. You can buy HID's from EBay and a replacement mast as well. If you do get HID's make sure you get the real ones with a ballast. Catz and phillips make great stuff, stick with 4300k-6000k. Thanks for the feedback. B)
  8. I have old pics in the "garage" , you'll have to search to find them. I think the price is about average for a GS3 of the caliber you bought. B) I bought mine off EBay as well, it was from texas(no rust or salt), less miles, as good condtion with all paperwork for about $1500 less. Now that was a good deal. All that really matters though, is that you're happy.
  9. Welcome, you're at the right place! Looks to be in good condition and the price was nothing special. No NAK, you have the standard pioneer system. If the timing belt hasn't been replaced, it's time to do it. Plan on spending at least a grand or more for the timing belt and all the other stuff that needs to be done at the same time. You'll find everything you need to know by searching or asking if you can't find it after searching. <_<
  10. ← I'd check the one with the doubledecker weights on it, might be bent! Or swap it to the rear <_<
  11. Ive looked and looked and I dont have this prob. And Lexus doesnt claim perfection I belive its "The relentless persuit of perfection" ← . To see what I am saying try sitting in drivers seat and look at front windshield right bottom corner and move your head up and down very little. The similar distortion I have seen in mine and the others at the dealership. It is good if you don't have it. ← Wow! Most people are too busy concentrating on driving to be looking for distortion in the bottom right corner of the windshield.
  12. What year GS and how many miles, why does everyone forget the obvious?!?!?!? Check fuel filter, replace it if you haven't already. Reset ECU, Use premium fron now on and use seafoam in the next couple of tanks of gas. <_< The fluid comment is PURE BS!!!! Have all the fluids changed (brakes, power steering) and the trans flushed by a reputable shop. check air filter also.
  13. Check battery terminals for loose connections or corrosion. Also check starter solenoid. <_<
  14. Could be low on freon or a leak in the system! <_<
  15. I wouldn't take the chance, if it has any cracks replace it. <_<
  16. Search!! We've covered this before. I think Guy posted the removal instructions. <_<
  17. Check Ebay! Although shipping will suck. I see lots of them on there pretty cheap. <_<
  18. Pull the vents out, you'll see 2 bolts behind it. <_<
  19. Run!!! Don't walk!!! Away from anyone that tells you something rediculous like that
  20. Your best bet would be to start by spending about $100 on the Factory repair manual. This way you'll have an idea of what to do and you can always ask about anything that's not clear. <_<
  21. Seems a little high to me, not outrageous, just a bit on the high side. Do it yourself a save a bunch of money.
  22. Thanks G, I got the magnecor spark plug wires, a little overkill probably. The irridiums are a great choice as they'll last alot longer. If there's oil in the plug holes you may have a leaking valve cover gasket.
  23. So guy if there's a problem with the PPS and the TPS, the electromagnetic clutch may not kick in and you'd get a problem similar to the one UMD GS400 described. I'd call davenport motors in TX and ask them exactly what needs to be replaced, as it sounds like they're only replacing the PPS.
