  1. True, however mine was idling low as the TPS screws were slightly loose. I never touched the srews before, nor did anyoine else that I know of, so this could be his problem and it doesn't hurt to check it. <_<
  2. If ones warped, The rest are probably as well. Replace all pads, rotors and brake fluid as well. use synthetic, I'm sure it's black and has never been changed. You can do this yourself, no need to pay someone $160 for it. <_< Paint your calipers while you're in there and clean up everything with a heavy duty cleaner. I've also found the aristo strut bar, ebay, helps a little with minor shaking while braking.
  3. Hello: Since you have been around the Lexus models more than I, is the Gs-300 basen upon the Old Supra? Thanks, why I asked is because I had a 87 Supra and loved it. C. PR ← No, however it does share the engine and a few suspension parts from the 93-97 supra. The 87 supra had the 1m engine, I believe. The GS3 is also known as the toyota aristo in japan.
  4. It's called a torque wrench! However unless you're a girl or some 99lb weakling, tightening till it's tight should be fine. <_<
  5. I don't see why they would give you something for free. You could buy one of those cheap ones that you sit on and plugs into the lighter and pray you don't get electrocuted. Or do it the right way and remove the leather seat cover and install the heating pad from leatherseats.com or a junkyard. <_<
  6. is there any way to do it without sending the cluster? ← Again contact bryan! I don't think there is anyway to do it without sending the cluster. <_< You can drive the car fine without the cluster, it's only for a few days.
  7. I don't remember which seller I bought the brembos from. I also ordered some from R1 race concepts they were good as well. Here's why almost everyone uses brembo blanks. Brembo Aftermarket Brake Rotors Brembo is truly a global supplier of brake rotors and other brake system components. It manufacturers over 25 million brake rotors for 25 different Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) or Original Equipment Suppliers (OES), covering 30 different car companies in 10 countries on four continents, including all U.S. Big Three automakers. No other brake rotor manufacturer commands such a worldwide presence.
  8. Sounds like the tuner is drifting, you'll have to replace the radio. <_<
  9. Take it out and rebuild it yourself, usually it's just the brushes and solenoid, which can be bought from toyota or lexus parts dept for next to nothing. <_<
  10. If you would have searched you might have found that it's the cold cathode tube. <_< CCT
  11. 12000k is only for color, anything above 6000k is prettty much useless for any real benefit. <_<
  12. Audio Express, home of the $1 wire fire is a commission based establishment that promotes fast install, not high quality. Cutting corners is their MO. Obviously you get what you pay for. I'd check some of the better shops in scottsdale. I'm not aware of any shops in glendale or peoria that do really good installs. Don't be fooled by the cars they belong to either the store or a manager or they've been there for a few months being worked on. <_<
  13. Check for loose or corroded battery terminal, connections or wires. <_<
  14. If they came in a red box with white lettering, they're brembo's. Alot of people buy the brembo blanks and machine them themselves or have someone else do it, so that could be the issue. I bought 2 sets of brembo's off EBay and both were authentic. <_<
  15. If you had searched you would know that they do fail and it's quite costly <_< I'm sure it can be bled, however that's probably not your problem.
  16. SEARCH MUCH? We just covered it. <_< You can order a new manual for free from lexus.com
  17. Can you suggest an easy way to test the amp? If it is the speaker do you know if I can get another from a different source? Thanks again for your time. ← The easiest way is to remove the speaker and test it as I stated above. This way you can test the amp and the sub at once. Once the speaker is removed you can go about finding a new one. I'd need to know impedance and speaker size before making a recomendation. <_<
  18. I think guy is saying you don't and they may be just trying to get more money out of you. I know on my first gen I had to replace the control arm for ball joints, as they told me that was the only way to do it. <_<
