  1. Yeah. Should take it back to Circuit City, or mess with it yourself if you know what your doing.
  2. Thats pretty crazy man. Congrats on the numbers.
  3. I have no Idea whats goin on. It started..Saturday morning when I left for the dyno. I was bringing my sister to get her rental car and when I got in the car and started it up and shifted to reverse, the car went into reverse hard. At first I figured it was just cuz it was cold because it did it again when I shifted to drive. When I got to the dyno, I was moving my car to get it ready to get on the dyno, and the car started studdering like it was running out of gas. Course the gas tank was nearly full. The dyno guys turned the car off and let it sit for 5 minutes and then tried it again and everything was normal. On my way back to my house today, I had the car on cruise control and I was going about 65 and it started studdering again..cruisin at 65. I have no Idea whats goin on, the only thing is the CELs on and its an O2 sensor, and of course I just installed the SAFC2. But Ive had the SAFC2 on since Friday morning and nothing was wrong all Friday. The only thing that changed between Friday and Saturday was that it was below 40 degrees Friday night. It has been really cold like that the past few nights. At first I just figured it was the that the car just needed to warm up, but that therory was disproven today driving home since it studdered at 65. Does any know whats up?
  4. Looks like Ill be picking up a Multimeter from walmart after school tomorrow. Gotta check and see if my stuff is doing right.
  5. Ah, quite right. I didnt realize you had coilovers. Was I right about the kit?
  6. That wouldnt happen to be the Signature kit would it? Even if its not, you def. need a drop.
  7. You have to realize, the 240 manifold is much smaller. These guys may not make the best manifold but the bigger 2JZGE manifold will work fine. I would give it a try if I had a distributor less car, but my car has the dizzy :(. I Emailed the guy about the manifold and he said he has sold alot of them with no complaints yet.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo-Manif...51689QQtcZphoto I know what it say...but it will fit you car....what year do you have? If you have a 1st gen it might not clear the distributor, but if you have a 98-05 it will work.
  9. You must realize, Lexus is a great company overall. As far as it being dependable/realiable...the only problem I have ever had with my car is the battery dieing, and that was before I replaced the 7 year old battery that was in it. The only reason it died was because the guys that were tinting my windows didnt disconnect it and they left all the doors open. The gas mileage...at least on my 96' is pretty good...about 18-20 city and about 25-27 highway depending on how I drive. Lately I have been getting really bad gas mileage, but its all my fault. Anyway, I say go test drive it and see if its the car for you.
  10. All I have to say is do you want a BIG sedan, or do you want the power of the sporty but yet same comfortable ride as the LS430? They both ride the same to me. My aunt has a GS430 and my Grandmother has a LS430, I personally like the GS430 because of the sportyness of it. Either way, the engine will last a long time seeing as it is the same engine. Go with you heart...or just wait for the LS460 :)
  11. I didnt know the N/A Supra had the 6-speed...
  12. Ahh, yeah, I totally forgot about the GS350. It will be nice. Hopefully they will have the GS460 pretty soon with that new 380 horse V8. I bet that will be a beast of an engine. Have you seen the new LS. I saw some pics from the detroit auto show and it looks huge. Not to mention with that V8 it says its still gonna be 5.5 sec 0-60. Anyway, I'm a straying off topic. The GS350 will be a beast of its own class, and when it comes out they will have to change to the GS460...cant have a 306 hp V6 and then have a 300 hp V8, I dont see the GS430 selling. Just my thoughts.
  13. The 06 model GS3 doesnt have the 2JZGE. I forget the name of the engine, but it has a 245 horse V6. Its no IS350, but its cool. Why not just wait for the GS hybrid. 300+ horsepower V6 hybrid, me thinks it will be nice.
  14. I dont know bout that one DC, check this out http://www.carsdirect.com/research/lexus/gs_300/1997/base
  15. Why not just do it yourself? It not hard at all and if you pay the dealer what it cost for labor to change a battery..Just do it yourself, buy the battery and change it. Most people wont be able to tell you how much it cost anyway because alot of people can change a battery. I forget how much labor is, but if you want the dealer to do it, its prolly gonna be 150+ for the battery and probably another 50+ for labor and what not.
