sorry to hear your bad luck :o That was real bad of them How long were you on the road for until you got the call? Dont be put off by Lexus... They are very fine cars indeed. Just because you see problems here do not think that Lexus is riddled with problems.. afterall these forums are here to answer questions to the few that have problems. I have been a lexus owner for 5 years and loved every moment and I am on my 3rd one. Its the dealers that you need to be carefull of.. but its the same with all car brand dealerships.. some are good and some are bad. Its not the cars fault... it really becomes worthwhile when owning one.

surely the pressure would simply blow out the blocked PCV from gunk.

Lexus WILL NOT be producing s IS430 to the market. This is a story that has been floating around the net purposely. It would cost Lexus millions just to saftey test the car before production. The only IS430 you will see are project cars.. and thats it... nothing more and nothing less.

i would recommend laquer... i would not dream of fitting stickers without.. especially if you use a acidic wheel cleaner.

check for binding brake calipers.. this can cause your rotors to overheat and warp. It is quite common problem to... have the calipers checked and lubricated with a silicone grease. Also check the seals are intact too.

To me I think people mark it as more of a success and worked hard to get a decent ride. I myself bought one becasue I am one of those people who slouches in the seat lazy like. The luxurious ride keeps me away from stress... may i live longer?... i hope so! Its like buying a sofa for your lounge.. you would not buy a rickety chair... but you want a (joey from friends style) leather chair with recliner.. electric one too... coz I work hard and i want to dwell in the fruits of my labour... not with a sore !Removed! on a wooden chair! nice thick coat of laquer will stop anything from eating them i have sold 1000's of these and not one complaint!

Yep.. picked her up today... what a fine motor... not a squeak or rattle from her... very tight mechanically. only the creaking of leather round hard turns. drives very smoothly.. can hardly hear the engine sometimes. The engine is very quiet too!!! All the electronics are faultless in fact all i can say is I cannot find anything wrong at all with this motor mechanically! The wheels just need repolishing and a good wax this car is amazing!!! One tiny thing which could be something small but i get a small vibration from the wheels at 70+ ... may just be the balancing needed... anyone have this problem? I do fear buckled alloy.. but if this is the case then I can fit the spare alloy from the boot.. which funnily enough is immaculate.

a similar person was selling wheels ths way.. and probably the same person... they claimed they lived in italy recovering from an injury and staying up in the mountains and his wife was still in the UK

valve stem seals could be a bit leaky... if so then not really much to worry about at the moment... not unusual for old cars to have this.

the factory offset for these cars are 50 the lowest you really should go is 45... 35 will put pressure on your bearings and axle and it will drive like a pig and tramline over every bump you hit. This is not a safe offset and recommend you take them back. Spacers are bad... dont risk your life and your car... get it right. Also dont let any store tell you thats ok.. its crap... they are there to pocket your cash!
