  1. Thanks for your help steve i have sent them an email.. i found autobacs1 on ebay.. so i guess thats the correct company to buy them from right? Also its very tight fit. I am hoping it will fit on my strut tops as I have electronic adjusted suspension... different to the one in the pic.. but i am pretty sure the bolt pattern is the same. for $14 i cant go wrong.

  3. you can see loads on ebay http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?M...rt&BasicSearch= they had some for camry.... perhaps they will fit?? Steve
  4. check out my install of an Alpine head unit http://www.lexusownersclub.com/us/forums/i...T&f=7&t=535&hl= You can purcahse Stereo facia plates at autotoys.com my suggestion is to have a full rewire and full speaker change as in the 2 rears, 2 front doors and tweeters. Do not bother with the dash speakers as you can by directional speakers for the doors that will take the job of the dash speakers. I have added a large amp in my car and i am glad i did. I have a 5 channel alpine MRV-F450 so I have i channel per speaker and 1 channel for the sub. anway.. take a look at the pics i have taken and i am sure you will see the good quality fascia plate i got from auto toys.
  5. I had mine replaced as the engine was nearly hanging out... it also caused damaged to the air duct causing it to split which then caused the car to stall in traffic due to alot of engine movement and stress on the part. this is so easy to replace and any mechanic can fit them within 30 mins. The parts are quite cheap too.
  6. never knew that pal!.. interesting. how do you get it back into normal mode?? just turn the key off?
  7. the motor may be faulty. with the temp on at 26 and just sit and listen you will hear a small motor noise behind the dash every so often.. this controls the temprature in the car.. this open and closes the valves... i reckon the motor is stuck hope that makes sense
  8. thats a sweet lookin car.. always prefered the white to dark green I will order the spoiler and see what happens. Steve
  9. The system in your ES is an Active system and I do nt think it will work with any other amp. if you are going to bypass the amp then i suggest you replace the speakers. I replaced all mine and had the amp installed in the trunk. I have ripped the old amp out and place my crossover circutry there under the carpet. Complete rewire was in order! no way the old speaers would work... and they were crap anyway when i removed them
  10. to be honest i have never come across it before in an ES300 .. but i have in other cars.
  11. sounds like the sensor in the tank is either faulty or you may have an earthing problem with the gauge as for the flickering needles I suggest you turn the back light down as this is a common fault with the older ES300 and other cars with the same instruments. You can get the dash dials redone but it means you have to send your intrument panel away.
  12. hi get a torch and look into the vent.. you will see two clips on the bottom holding the vent in.. these clips pop off when when push them down... be prepared to lose them too! then wiggle the vent out.. its tight but will wiggle out.... there will also be a cable attatched... it is quite easy if you take your time to figure it out
  13. there were different types.. i read that some did not fit properly or leave enough room and when pulling away or in reverse. Also heard of a dodgy company
  14. I have been thinking of getting a spoiler for my 92 what i need to know is this This spoiler is for a 92 http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog.asp?A=...el=35&idB=36515 and for a 97 onwards the spoiler is this http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog.asp?A=...el=39&idB=36515 Would the 97 fit a 92 model? I see the bottom part of the trunk is bigger.. but the top and width from lip to lip must be the same surely? these are cheap spoliers! but for the same price on this site i can get a spoiler for a 97 model with rear light and raised compared to the crappy 92 movel spolier they are advertising.
  15. I came across this site and had tons of parts for an Es300.. i was in my eliment http://www.pamsauto.com on the top drop down menu select ES300 and you will see a list of cars they have in stock.
  16. Zymol rocks!... smells nice too! Does not remove layers of paint and only natural ingradients such as Canuba wax.. best wax a car can have!
  17. use this tutorial http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...t=ST&f=14&t=21& cheers
