when this happens do you notice a jerk on the car like the whole car moves? cuz i think your lower suspension arm bushings are gone meaning your in for about $800 on suspension arms left and right i had the same problem. if your going to change it your self write back and ill tell you how to do it.
vertex makes a dry carbon fiber hood which means that it is super light weight probably less than half of the stock hood. it also costs a good 3G`s so if your a high roller thats the way to do it if you have ever seen the VERTEX SOARER that competes in the drift GP in japan well it also has dry carbon doors which must only weigh like nothing
my neighbor hac a caddy i forgot which model but i think it was a 94 and we were fixin things on that everymonth! seriously the parts that broke were irritating stuff like valves that would feed trans oil in to the engine so the engine would burn trans fluid and after a while if you didnt notice cause it was slow your car wouldnt move. other things like idle control were adjusted by a motor that mechanicaly opens throttle that would go out of place so the car wont idle and when you jack the car up the chassis bent so you couldnt open the hood. i would never buy a caddy but thats me :P
try and smell the oil and see if the its trans or engine oil. if its engine oil which i think it looks like is being blown on to the trans from the engine under cover because its dirty the engine oil pan gasket could be out and in the worst case the crankshaft seal on the rear of the engine could be out
the squeeking is probably from the clutch mastercylinder or the arm or linkage that pulls the cylinder. as for the pilot bearing it could be the problembut it might also be the throw out bearing. the pilot bearing supports the input shaft from the trans from the engine. its located on the center of the flywheel and it does go bad but no matter what there is a constant load on the pilot bearing so it shouldnt stop making noise after you apply slight pressure so i think it might be the throw out bearing which load is applied when the clutch pedal is depressed. so the noise goes away whenload is applied to the bearing. but in anycase its probably time for a clutch replacement and a clutch master overhaul
try flowmasters on an SC they almost look stock a guy i know has them on his and they arent rediculously loud like a honda boy exhaust but more of a sporty sound
i got some brand new and still in the box non chromes in those that are lying around but they are my brothers so i dont know if he would want to sell them if you wanted them but i remember him saying he wanted 94 rims so he might consider trading :magic:
i would go back and buy 2, 1 would be left totaly stock and the second a 700hp monster and maybe a third for drag racing in that i would buy a stroker kit that would make it an SC360 and well over 1000hp
a company called C`s in japan makes a supercharger for the 1uzfe but it costs a good $7000 so if you cant get jackson racing to make one this is your only way to get a blower oh and also its order made so you might have to wait a while to get it. as for the 3uz or any other 430 models blitz now makes a blower that turns out about 350 hp and more torque but i dont know those specs. also TOM`s makes a blower for the 3uz it makes 354hp and 57kgm of tourqe what ever that is in foot pounds. also the good thing about TOM`s is that in japan toyota sais that the blower wont affect warrentees the bad thing is that it costs a good 10G`s
try and gun it to the floor. if you push untill you get the kick down whick i think it has it accelerates totaly differently. theres a big difference in acceleration and even the sound of the engine when you actually floor it or its almost thereto the floor
yea it is a little complicated but in japan the average car owner doesnt keep his or her car for more than 6 years because taxes get way high on it :o just wait till you have to change the starter motor. guess where it is...............under the intake manifold :o :o i had to do it already it went out about 2year ago the heat gets to it and kills it its about $1200 to change at the dealer and most other places because to unbolt the starter there are two nuts or bolts i forgot which one but they are so close to the fire wall that its a big pain in the butt to get them out <_<
trunk what? theres enough trunk space for two golf bags and theres that almost a back seat section which looks like a luxury seat for groceries have you test driven the car yet?
just stick with big name forged wheels and you cant go wrong. names like enkei, rays/volk yakohama, advan, BBS, veilside well the list goes on but the good stuff is expensive if its forged expect to pay around $2-4000 depending on what you buy
remember that we have LUXURY cars meaning that we shoud spend a little extra money on things that we normaly wouldnt need to on a economy car like gas. so just put in the 91
i think it does have a throttle by wire on the vett cus i remember one of my neighbors guests bragging about his on his Z06 or C5 or what ever the newer looking one is called
you said that you have never seen a car where you have to take appart half of the engine to change wires? well check out german engineering, didyou know that you have to separate the engine and trans just to change the spark plug on a BMW 750i (the V12) i heard it costs about a grand to chang sparkplugson it :o
