  2. if your leak is that bad and the water is getting in to the motor the oil should be brown and junk looking. also check your trans oil cus ive fixed a car that lost a lot of fluid that was getting in to the trans where from ??? do you ask? well it got in from the radiator where the trans oil cooler and coolant are cooled. i guess from old age it coroded and went in
  3. there is no "extra" charge going through its just like using that other battery to start the car. when you hook up batteries with a positive to positive and negative to negative you just get more capacity not more voltage
  4. why do we call it hood in english? mow AWJ- when carbon fiber actually breaks it does become very spiky and in Formula 1 when a car crashes they have to clean the track because the carbon fiber splinters if the track wasnt cleande up enough can puncture the tire resulting in a pit stop and that car loosing. also i have some RC cars with carbon fiber parts and when that breaks it aslo becomes sharp and dangerous

  8. i think TOM`s in japan sells coilovers for the 430 and cuz its TOM`s it doesnt affect warrentee
  9. yup i got the nak`s and like i said when it was new it seemed to me that it sounded simply amazing but new stuff is always better ecpecially electronics because ten years and capacitors in the electronics start to go bad resulting in a not as good as new sound. but its still good
  10. in the "toyota" supra thers a turbo version of the 2jz called the 2jzgte lexux only uses the 2zjge(non turbo) toyota also uses the same engine for the supra no difference in the non turbos.
  11. the radiator it self doesnt have a cap you can open a bolt on the top of the block where you add coolant to see if there is any at the top of the block
  12. as far as sound i thought that the first gen LS had good sound and it did untill iride in a friends 99 GS with levinson and then 2003 LS and wow now my car stereo sounds cheap like on an economy car.
  13. well how about some coil overs with infinitely adjustable ride hight? you had enough cash to buy 20s and a 2001 LS so what is price to you? maybe the ride will be a bit stiff?

  15. yea old school with a twist my twin turbo friend but yup i have a non twin turbo first gen.
  16. the key cooks, cleans,@and does the laundry but i dont think the keys are lazer cut it looks like its machined in with a mill kind of machine
  17. well as long as you dont go fast its not too life threataning but the car could be unstable at high speeds so be carful
  18. carbon doors cost $4000 from vertex and if you get in an accident from the side with them you will have many many many carbon splinters

  21. does it stick out? i thought that it kind of points down under the rear bumper. i thought the whole reason for this is so that the driver forgets that there is even an engine in the car because inside of the car is so quiet with some music on you really cant hear the engine. and when your out side you dont see an exhust. you know what i mean? i think that was toyota`s goal to make the driver forget the car had an engine :magic:
  22. multiply 18 gallons by 3.78 and that will give you 18 gallons in litres then water weighs 1 kilogram per litre so if you think gas probably weighs a tad less than water so do the math and get an estimate then find a conversion for the kilo to puond. well have fun with all that math :P oh and yes i have had that experience with my nissan sentra with a small 1.6 litre when weight makes a difference going up a hill where i live
  23. on the LS 400 the starter is located under the intake manifold now if im not wrong the LX uses the same block as the 400 so the starter should also be located there and thats where the big bill comes from I changed mine and i would charge a good $1000 on that cuz you have to take off the intake and thats not the hardest part the starter is held on by two nuts which is right against the fire wall which is extremely hard to get at. the reason why the starter goes out so quickly is because the engine heat gets to it and you have to think that most of the people in japan dont keep their cars for more than 60,000 miles or about 6 years cus thats when the taxes start to hit them high.
  24. i dont think that would look so good but thats my opinion the V300 is the vertex turbo model that they offer the V300 should replace the GS300 and the ARISTO should replace lexus just a thought :P
  25. you know i was wondering if you could do that and i guess you can now that you mention it but they dont sell factory bushings so the aftermarket urethane ones are your only way plus they make the steering more precise but your ride becomes a tad more harsh i guess im going to have to get a press now :P
