  1. could be, but i would try to take a look at the temp sensors or the air flow sensor.
  2. sounds like the cam timing is off. any check engine light?
  3. if you change that coil your misfire will probably be solved and your tach will work again!
  4. when they raised the engine to change the mounts the rubber hose that connects the resevoir to the pump probably broke because this hose becomes hard and brittle over the years. this has happend to me on both my LS and SC. so really you can blame the shop as its just a result of old age.
  5. the caliper bolts on to the hub. and i believe you need the rotors from the LS. i dont know if the back plate fits but most likely you just cut it off.
  6. most likely it should but use your best judgement before acctually installing it ;)
  7. it might be the motor or the controller for the fan vents inside the dash.
  8. does the car take kinda long to warm up? maybe the thermostat is half open or maybe it doesnt open all the way.
  9. if it idles fine then maybe the exhaust is clogged or your cats
  10. is the vaccum advance line hooked up? j/k the timing on this car is computer controlled so you yourself can not change it nor can I :P. if you could better explain the symptoms maybe we could help you better as all i get from your post is that the car is running rough? a common problem is one of 2 coils going out. best to change out both if you are.
  11. one or both coils are dead. and the tach signal comes from the coil.
  12. i had my LS trans completely rebuilt meaning changing out all the seals, gaskets and clutch packs. and it only cost $2000. with a new/reman converter.
  13. try unplugging the cig lighter and see if it makes a diff.
  14. you connected the hose to the booster right? maybe the booster it self is leaking?
  15. why dont you check what the first guy did first. then work from there.
  16. no im not wrong you asked about taking it out through the oil pan. its impossible without taking the crank out... anyway how'd you bend the rod?
  17. tein offers plastic/rubber spring insulators you coil over the spring. its called a rubber silencer: http://www.tein.co.jp/products/tool.html i could only find it on the japanese website but other people sell it for example http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo.asp?nu...EIN-SPR02-G1497
