  1. The price includes: the price of the used tranny, the shipping from Dallas Tx to San Antonio Tx (San Antonio doesn't have a very wide selection of SC's from what i understand), any parts, labor..and i'm sure the towing from my house to the shop was factored in there somewhere even though it was "free".... I guess i don't mind paying a little extra considering the tech performing the work has the same year and model vehicle as mine (and worked for Lexus for 12 years (friend of a friend))..........just wasn't sure if it was WAY overpriced or not.....It being my first lexus and all..... Thank you for your reply...It was very insightful- appreciate it...
  2. need some opinions......Is 1,600.00 to swap out my 92 tranny for a 93 sc 400 w/80K...including parts and labor TOO Much????....The shop that is doing it specializes in Lexus and Toyota only.....
  3. The first 20 minutes of driving this vehicle after a cold start (3 to 5 min warm up)....is excellent, runs like a brand new car, no problems.....After the first stop i come to....the vehicle starts stuttering when i try to accelerate as if it's either suffocating or has a fuel issue. I purchased this ride a couple of weeks ago and drove it from Austin, TX to San Antonio TX with no issues at all...not even the stuttering problem........Does anyone know what the cause of this is?......The vehicle seems have to be completely warmed up before this issue starts....could be an exhaust or a fuel issue?........I've tried the jumper (Fp & B+)...that didn't work. The only thing i've done to this vehicle since purchase is replace the slip covers to the exhaust tips with some aftermarket chrome "pilot" slip ons - the next morning i started having the stuttering problem.......please help????? (the vehicle has had a tune up....oil change.....timing...water pump....done)
  4. Thank you...i found it the same day i posted my question...it was sitting there in front of my face the time..."Diagnostics"...under the hood.......the jumper didn't help the problem......does anyone have any other suggestions i could try or have check out??
  5. Per previous posts, if i'm understanding correctly, In order to bypass the ECU a jumper must be placed in the engine diagnostics connector between Fp and +B....Not sure if i'm looking in the right place but when i looked inside the lid cover to the diagnostics connector (driver's side under the steering wheel near the hood release)....the only terminal names i see are: Trc OpB Tem Abs Opa AB A/C A/D ECT W ENG Td Tt TC E1 TE2 TE1.... does Fp +B mean the same as any of these? or am looking in the wrong place?....Please help.......
