  1. You didn't mention if you bled the master cylinder prior to bleeding the remainder of the system. Bleeding instructions for brakes and TRAC on Pp. 2-4: checkandadj.pdf
  2. See Pg 2 of: emmissiondescrip.pdf For testing and cleaning see Pp 2 & 3 of: evapsystem.pdf
  3. 1. Saw a very detailed post on the retractor Here. Haven't had the opportunity to try it myself yet. 2 & 3. For the Instrument panel look Here. 5. Posts have stated that a poor or dying battery can trigger the TRAC light. If battery replacement fails to resolve do a search on TRAC here and you will find numerous posts. Lastly. Lenses are available Here and on eBay. Tutorial is Here.
  4. I can't find a reference, but when I was dealing with this I recall that 50141 was for California models while 50140 was for the other 49 states. 50142 was the 49 state model ECM for a '94. A local rebulder said all 3 showed to work in a '94. My ECM symptom was acceleration was only possible while keeping under 2000 RPM or it would stumble until you let off on the throttle. Caps had leaked and eaten through board coating down to traces. Rebuilt ECU cured problem. A couple months later it wouldn't hardly move under its own power and the cats were getting red hot. Turned out to be a bad coil (driver's side). All Japanese ECM's from this era used electrolytic capacitors that leak over time and cause an array of drivability problems. Av-Pro is highly respected in the 3000GT/Stealth community for their helpfulness and professional service. You might try calling them to see if they can help.
  5. Has anybody installed KYB GR-2 struts?
  6. Looks like a Nippondenso 90919-01210.
  7. That's disappointing. I installed a set from them on a '94 with great results. Hopefully it was just a flawed screw.
  8. Received this e-mail: From: "Richard @ Lexus" <lexus@taprecycling.net> Subject: lexus parts Date: Fri, 18 Aug 2006 08:13:25 -0700 HI we have the conector ...price is 125.00 please call me at 1 800 765 7100 my name is Richard at ext 16.... I had decided to ride with it the way it was for now. Car drove great for 3 1/2 months (too good) until my son experienced horizontal compression of the forward portion of the vehicle.
  9. I'm glad to hear you're on the road again :) I would be curious to know if your repair invoice itemizes the charges and what they are. Thanks.
  10. See pages 6 & 7. onvehicleinspection.pdf Here is a Link that explains coils and makes the point that a basic resistance test may test good while the coil may start to fail under load. I mention this because that was the case with our '94.
  11. I bought one an aftermarket from This guy. Worked great!
  12. If not the dimmer switch setting, then 1991 Ls 400 Instrument Panel, Black out Display Panel.
  13. This Help!, Good news. Bad news. thread has solenoid filter screen pic links that work. This long (but excellent) thread Flushed Power Steering, Cleaned Solenoid Screen, Now LS whines, leaks, and steers hard at low speeds includes links for the pump reservoir screen. If you get caught up in the saga be sure to click the link in the last post for the conclusion. If you really could not care less, then here are the Reservoir Pics.
  14. Also, if you didn't machine the rotors it is going to take many brake applications before the pads conform to the rotor surfaces for full contact which may result in squeek. Additional possibilities: Failure to keep pad surface clean during installation. Failure to keep rotor surface clean during installation. Failure to thoroughly clean rotors of all machining residue (if machined). Worn or missing inner anti-squeal shim(s). Worn or missing (outer)anti-squeal shim(s). Worn or missing anti-squeal spring(s). Worn or missing pad support plate(s). Worn or sticking caliper sliding pin(s). Worn or sticking caliper sliding bushing(s). Improperly tightened caliper bolts. Poor quality brake pad materials.
  15. That is just sooooooo sweet......
  16. I'm a book in the hand kind of guy, although I'm sure a CD of the factory manual would be nearly as invaluable. If the CD material is questionable you may wish to spend time downloading PDF's from the Toyota/Lexus Tech Info System offered at a subscription rate of $10 for a day. You didn't mention the model year, but I see a 90 & 93 set of manuals on eBay for significantly less than $200. Hope this helps!
  17. I don't think you'll have a problem. It should go pretty quick. The tricky part will be loosening the last bolt because it will have been tightening while you use it for leverage to loosen the other three. After you get the three broke loose leave them in and let one tighten back up while you use it to break the fourth one loose just in case it is froze up. Hopefully the wobbly bearing is in the fan clutch and not the water pump (you're probably thinking I could have kept that last part to myself, huh...) :whistles:
  18. This is the Link that Larry was directing you to.
  19. Don't know if This applies to your model year or not.
  20. Blake918 had posted that he bought online from Sewell for his '95 back in May '06 . His part numbers don't apply to a '94, but when I tried their site the list prices were similar. I don't know how he got the net prices he did. The only promo code I could find was CL911M for 10% off.
