What year? 95? I just drove from Virginia to CT and got 24 MPH at 75. Before I changed the air filter I got about 23, so I am happy! Car drove awesome! My only concern was NYC.. I went down 78 from PA and once you pay EZpass you have about 100 feet to cross 6 lanes. George Washington Bridge.. Never stay on the left lane, since there are some deep holes. Bottom line be careful on those NYC roads.. they stink!

Hey ladies and gents.. I have an MP3 transmitter that is still a pain in the butt. It works, but sounds more like radio then digital cd. So now I have both 6 disks with every song I really like in the cd player and my FM transmitter when I play something different. Maybe the $10 bucks was a waste since I own tons of software including NERO, but it was a eye catching title. Thats is it. I waste $10 bucks driving to get gas..

luv you are a smart man. I have MS home so I dont know if it would work? Just stating if someone has err issues then they should burn their MP3s into new disks and it should improve. Actually it was a $7 (tip $5 and the guy did an amazing job on the rims) car wash this time and after that I had about 20 compliments from 20 different people. I do not go out of my way to get the compliments, but people just like the LS. Now with less err messages and 120 songs I really love this LS. Yes, it's just you..

It seems my 93LS 6 disk cd changer does not work the best with scratches and stuff so I bought some MP3 converting software. I know I probably could have gotten FREEWARE or SHAREWARE, but for 10 bucks this is the best investment. Take your old CD's and choose the songs you like then combine all of them. I am sure many of you do this or utilize the IPOD or FM setup from laptop, but this is an easy fix for the old 6 disk player. Since I did this there are rarely errors. Also the music sounds great and I have about 100 of my favorite songs on 6 disks!! AWESOME!! Cheers.. Anyone buy the blue LED lights for their floors?

Does the cat get red hot?? Burning insulation or something under the drivers seat. Everyone should keep a fire extinguisher in the trunk. Man I can not tell you how many fires I have put out personally. There must be 10 a year in every little town in America. Obviously older cars or ones with poor maintenance are more common to smoke and go up in flames.

Exhaust blockage was a problem in the past with someone on this LS blog thing.

Hey man.. I have a great FM transmitter that allows one to set the channel (87-108). When I get to my car I will tell you the name. It also works very well and I use a cheep generic IPOD or laptop to play songs. I bought it on Amazon for 30 bucks.

Well the OD light is not on so I was thinking it is off, but maybe thats on? I have been playing around with it to see the difference. For sure when the light is off the LS shifts at low RPM's (2500). When light is on it will wait till over 3000 RPM's. Yeah the Avalon has a really loose peddle. When you press it, it goes to the floor. When you press the LS it really makes you drive it smooth. I always laugh thinking that I have never pushed my LS to the floor.

That is always a great feeling to find out what you think is a big issue is a clamp or hose.

This week I have a 06 Touring Avalon. Car is really nice, but my 93LS is nicer. In general the Avalon seems to react quicker to the peddle (sorta fun). The RPM's increase faster, but maybe this is due to the fact I always keep transmission in econ mode with OD off. The LS feels much more like a LUXURY car. When you hit a bump or take a corner it's so smooth. The Avalon feels more like a full size car (larger interior) and you can feel most bumps. The Avalon's interior is nothing special. It seems to be cheap, but since this is a rental maybe its just the standard model? I do like the dual heat/ac controls. The comfort of the seats in the LS is far superior then the Avalon. The overall feel of the steering wheel and center consul is better in the 93LS. Since I did not drive the Avalon at night I cant really say if I like the dash at night, but I love the bright LS dash at night. THANK GOD I LISTENED TO YOU ALL AND BOUGHT THE LS OVER THE ES! Just bought a 93LS with 93k miles that needed tires, timing belt and dash light repair. I paid 7k for the car then added a few things that I wanted.. I just saw a 94 near DC for 8k and it had 56k. To me that is a great deal.

I just changed my 93 cabin air filter and it was disgusting. For sure I reccomend everyone to do it. Cheers to the LS

No problem man.. Sometimes I just write how happy we are with the LS. Previously we were college students with a Ford Taurus and Ford Contour, so its easy to see why were so excited about life & the LS. When I say Jag or Audi we were looking at older models. As you all know old Audi's and Jags have long term maintenance issues. On the other hand people look at our LS's and think that car costs a ton and even more to maintain, but we all know different. Thanks for all your feedback.

Its nice to know you care so much about fellow Lexusownerclub members. God bless your life and relationships also.. As for the maintenance we all know the LS is amazing! I suspected if we have more posts then the ES we would move ahead of them on the main board?

So today my wife wants a nicer car so she is talking about Jag's to Audi's. So I say well what about the LS. She is like to expensive to repair and expensive gas. I explained that my car has cost me nothing after 6 months of ownership and if one buy $150 gas a month they would spend $20 more for a premium. So I really hope she comes around and we buy another LS400. It would be really kewl to have two of them! I might throw in $5,000 to help her decison!

Sorry pal, I dont know. My idle jumps around when I turn and shut off AC. Some times when the AC is turned on car seems to want to lurch forward.

Yeah I have the oem 16" wheels. So for 550 I can get tires removed and replace by Firestone for the next 3-4 years. This week I am going to Roanoke, VA so I hope it does not snow.

What year was the LS? Also could you take out CDs? My 93LS at times has issues with the cd player.. then other times it works fine. My LS is not tight at slow speeds? Is it low of PS fluid?

Well I have a channel from my deck that is dead until I jack up the system. I have the same 93 NAMIKOCHIO system. I tried to replace the speaker and no luck. If the speakers go bad they will crack and sound like crap. If a chanell goes bad then it will go dead. Also this could be a short, but I get the impression the car is sound and has few shorts. So I still say the deck... Then the amp... Then shorts.. You could just get a cheep speaker and just swap it quickly. This will tell you right away if its the speaker. When you rip apart the back door follow the directions and the handle part does have two pins. This confused me for a bit. There are push pins around the whole door and the silver molding at window just pops up with panel. Good luck..
