  1. Sounds like the deck is dying. Did this just happen all at once? I also believe there is an amp in some of the LS's. Do you have the Namakichie sound sytem?
  2. Well I am going to buy a new car with FWD. Then I will have no concerns with the tires. What can I get for $500 bucks. :)
  3. Thanks DCFISH.. I will do that.. Anyone else have personal opinions on tires?
  4. LEXUS is really kewl when it comes to customer service. Your example is what they do daily. Cheers to them. For sure no noises inside the LS.. Mine is a 93 and I have no noises. Also dont forget to submit your vote (first for the 2001) on what year LS you own. Its at the top of the front 400/430 page. Below the dash light issues for the first generations.
  5. There are times in our lives when one does not have anything good to say they should not say (or type) anything at all. Sometimes I don't follow this rule. Right now I have: 1. Jock Jams 2. Monster Ballads 3. Eddie Money 4. Bon Jovie 5. Snoooopppp DOGGGGGGG (Old school) The purpus of this thread is for us to get an idea of our common interests, personalities and concepts. :)
  6. I play everything from rock to rap, but never country. Maybe it is the mood of the day.. If you need motivation or inspiration play Rocky. If one needs to chill out play Mozart. If one need to get pumped up play Metallica. Either way it sounds pretty damn good for a 13 year old stero system.. The Namakichiooo that is.. Cheers to the LS
  7. Any suggestions on a month or date to put Blizzaks on my LS? Also if you reccomend another tire that is appreciated. I am thinking after Turkey day.. Not looking forward to losing my awesome 17" Tauranza V's.. They are awesome, but any advice is greatly appreciated.
  8. A slip would be with the transmission.. Maybe during a shift of great? This car shifts at low RPM's. If you were going into traffic in the 25 - 35 range I would think the LS would be shifting. Good luck and nice low mileage on that 94. There is an LS with low miles for sale in Phili right now for 7800. That is a good deal.
  9. Man I just take it easy and get about 23 highway and 20+ around town. Now with the new air filter I am hopeful that I get much more.. To my dismay I just threw away my damn receipt! ARRRRRGGGGGGGG... I was curious!
  10. Although the LS has a steller maintenance record... Mechanical and electrical parts will be mechanical and electrical parts. Each one is different and there is no telling when they will fail. Of course pounding the hell out of a car could effect mechanical more then taking it easy..
  11. So what year is your LS? 91? Did this happen durring a rain storm? Could things under the engine have gotten wet? Since I am not the expert in the way these engines operate I pass this question to someone else.
  12. Cheers to you, your LS and a less active 06 hurricane season!

  14. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=25026 The cold weather must bring out this crunch noise when one hits a bump.. Some people posted some good information on this issue..

  16. Noise is minor, but I hope its not the hydrolic compensation control valve for the trani and engine. Maybe I should buy another LS400 for 7k at 56k miles so I wont have this problem.
  17. For sure the best option is having the LS and then a sporty something on the side. Right now I am debating what to get next, but I am keeping my LS. I have a biased opinion and love my LS. Of couse I have not driven the GS so I really cant give a fair opinion, but since LEXUS makes it I suspect something good. Cheers to LEXUS
  18. Hey man, I posted same thing about a week ago. I have a 93 and it makes same noise. So I need a greese job! Lube up the LS.. Okay..

  20. After market radios look terrible in our big dashes.. For sure I am going to keep it until I have serious issues. I think the sound is good and if the deck lasted 13 years it is very good. I have replaced 3 SONY decks in the past 8 years in my other cars. Cheers to NAMICOSKCHI
  21. Yes, I like them alot.. They really make the rear end look 10 years newer. Also they go with my veteran flag. For $200 I would reccomend them. Some people question their long term durability, but I will worry about that problem when and if it happens. Installation is rather simple and took me about 1.5 hours for both. Cheers to LEXUS and sorry to hear your misshap.
  22. Ahhhh I am going to have a mine in my battery (maybe the gold will rise to the top).
  23. Looks good man.. I also am not a big fan of the exhaust, but I love the car. Cant show my 93 because she'll be jealous. The exhaust looks sharp... I just thought it was out to far, but I was probably wrong Cheers
  24. My friend just said its better to replace whole system. I suspect the 93 N-system deck does not put out much watts since it has an amp at 4 x 40 watts. Could one replace the 93 deck with a 98? Someone on a previous post said something about analog?? I dont know what they were talking about..? Cheers to LEXUS
  25. I hope 300 foot well water is close to distiled? Thanks for the response..
