Ah I am not really that aggrivated. Just when I was all dirty during my only weekend home I was getting mad. I will return the 25$ piece of crap and on a good note the new cable can be pushed in when antenna is up and it will suck it down when I turn it off. :)

Yeah... Well what really stinks is the fact I completly ripped out the old mast and then went through the process of a mess. Knowing that the antenna did not fit right I really wasted about 3-4 hours. I will look into a replacement kit and just throw the old in the garage and the new in the LS. Cheers Why do we sometimes do something so stupid like go to Autozone. Went to EBAY like you guys stated and bammmmm, right there the exact antenna I need for $5 less then what I paid. Wasted 4 hours and a lot of soap to fix something that would never work. Thanks for advice! For sure this is worth $50 a year!

Hello Lexus friends. After 8 months I enjoy every day I am able to take the LS for a ride. The car is simply awesome! Since I am often driving a rental in a land far, far away... It's always exciting to drive the LS. Over the past two weeks I had five people tell me they love the 98 - 03 LS. It's actually a 93 so I always get a big laugh out of their iggnorance. Actually I did not have a clue before I came to this site so thank you. Recently I purchased my BLIZZAKS and they are awesome! Car drives up hills and through the ice and snow like a plow. It really makes me feel a lot safer behind the wheel. My next challenge is the antenna (rebuilt with wrong antenna), dash (have the parts $10) and cd player ($260 bucks). I am so aggrivated with the Err on the cd player. Since I have traveled from Europe, Puerto Rico to upstate Maine over the past year I get a lot of feedback about my LS. In Europe they were impressed with the big engine. I stated "It's a 4.2 liter." The fact is I am not sure of that, but its a big V-8. In Eastern Europe I did not see one LS. It was really amazing. As I have stated from the start it seems people react differently to the LS. Cars in the passing lane actually pull over when I get behind them. People let you go first at the stop signs, although you are on the left. Normal people constantly say "wow nice car. Nice LEXUS and other compliments." It's common for me to strike up a conversation with a General or Executive to talk about our LS's. Every owner I know (18 - 70 years old) only say great things about the LEXUS. As for maintenance over the past 8 months there has been very little. Doing 90 and raising the antenna resulted in the cable breaking. The dash lights have the common problem that will be fixed within the next month or two. Basically oil change, lube the underside and a few filters is all that has been done. This week I will get the belts changed and a radiator flush. As everyone from this club tried to express to me "this car is built to last to 300k." Many of my friends have everything, but Lexus. They state they have issues and it's expensive to repair. A few members of my family stated "don't buy a car over 10 years old or you will regret." Well now everyone loves to ride in the ultra smooth LS. The ride is better then 99% of the cars on the market today. I say this with experience of driving about 40 rentals last year. Everything from trucks, coups, Avalon, Ford, Mustang, Celica, Dodge, Lincoln, Mazda's, MB's, Jags and SUV's. Lexus is the best. Well this is just some info for the new and just a review of my experiences for the old. Thanks to you and long live the LS.

Purchased an autozone black antenna mast... They said it would work... Well after much frustration it was to small and now I need to buy the antenna and rubber bushing. Anyone know a good place to buy that will ship to my home. We do not have a Lexus dealer within 60 miles of my home. Also anyone know who hosts these forums. I need one for a personal website.

When I push down on the brakes firmly my e-break light comes on for a second. Any ideas? There are no other times when the e-break comes on except when it is applied.

Looks like a lot of force when your wife was hit. For sure the car saved her life! I have seen many t-bones with death. As for the side air bag it may have helped more, but if she is okay with that much damage then the car did well... Also she probably had the seatbelt on? Need an attorney? :) Suspect DUI on the other side???

Vin you from Hokie land? I was just down there and it was nasty (Miami vs. Hokies), but I love the area.. Great place to play golf. What should the CCA and CA for the battery be? I ask this since the mechanic installed the Interstate 550 CA ($85) and stated "this is what LS calls for." In all reality I wanted the 800 CA battery, but ohh well. BTW LEXUS battery is 92 bucks. Also it sucks that cover does not fit battery. So I am going to take a drill and make it fit.

Repaired hood mounts in about an hour. We used a grinder since we did not have tiatanium bits. I love how it just stays up. Weird it takes some force to close. :) Also... The movie SYRAIAN SUCKS..

Ripped apart the cd changer to the bare circuit boards. Hopeful we could find how to fix or replace broken parts. We need to figure this out to save 300 bucks.

I am about to get some 40$ lights that work much better then the current. They have to be installed and they are not HID. Should have them installed by next weekend and I will have pictures.

Are you saying they used bad solder or something? I wonder if people who get the 1200 replacement from Lexus have the sticking 0? Suspect no.

If battery is low will the car turn off the cig lighter? It seems the past month my LS's cig lighter did not work all the time. YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MY LS IS FIXED. How much did you pay? Curious. Sounds like a great LS. Personally one could attempt to charge the system. If freon (pressure) is low compressor will not work. For the money I would just pay a good mechanic $50 bucks to look it over then $50 bucks to charge. I would also wait till spring when you would use it. I say this since you may get it charged and never use it to find out your leak happened sometime over the winter. Reguardless good luck and I am sure others will comment. I am sure you know go to a trusting mechanic to save money over dealership. This is not to say dealers dont do a great job.
