  1. Did you change out the coolant at 2 years or 30,000 miles?
  2. I'd just pick a spot and start waxing and buffing, waxing and buffing and see if sooner or later it would kinda just become really hard to see.
  3. Thank You! I will sleep like a my dachsund tonight... :D I was concerned when I saw that on my car. Had to find out too. Looks like something missing.
  4. There should be a fuse puller in the main fuse box under the hood.
  5. The tube runs all the way across, right to left, so if you want to run a vaccuum line across the engine you just hook up on one end and then to the other.
  6. You have to reprogram the windows. Run each window down and up with it's own door switch. Then they should all work with the drivers switch.
  7. They're hose fittings that would be used in a turbo application or otherwise if a vaccuum source is needed. On the stock engine they don't do anything. They're just there. Everybody has them.
  8. Automatics got a lot more efficient when they went to torque converter lockup, and more than 4 gears, allowing for some serious overdrive on the highway. Used to be a Chevy with 4.11 gears and a close ratio 4 speed ruled in stock classes at drag strips. Then along came Mopar with the typewriter shifters and automatics began to rule. Now with electronic controls, and auotmatic can shift at the right times, the right RPM and over time, more consistently than 90% of manual trans drivers. Having driven stick shifts for the first 30 years of my driving life, one day I just decided there wasn't any advantage for me anymore, so I started buying automatics. Power, acceleration, etc with the 6 speed auto in the IS350 suits me just fine, and now my left leg is not abnormally bigger then the right one. :D :D
  9. Front cam sounds cool. I've been real careful not to pull completely up to parking curbs, but sooner or later it's bound to happen.
  10. That has happened in a few cases. One guy discovered they'd done that when his tires were rubbing in the front. The service "advisors" I"ve talked to realize you can't rotate the tires, but I don't know about the service techs. I could see it happening maybe a year ago when the cars were first out, but by now they should know the difference.
  11. I changed the rear pads on my Firebird at 99,000 miles and the front pads were still ok. Of course I only drove 6 miles to work with one traffic light, and made lots of 700 mile interstate trips to Ohio, so I was pretty easy on brakes. :D
  12. Take a light and look straight down behind the radiator at the bottom front of the engine. The silver canister is the oil filter housing.
  13. You can check out the TSB's at: http://techinfo.lexus.com/
  14. It should be already pre-wired to use the shark fin.
  15. Ok I signed up for yousendit. I tried to send you a PM with my email addy but message says your inbox is full. If you can clear it out, let me know and I'll send it again.
  16. You probably didn't do any damage. If the E brake engages and releases ok now, then not a problem.
  17. I have a CD also, but the guy that made it didn't index or organize it. How do you go about sending this? Or, if you want to, you can upload to the site. It's up to you.
  18. It seems that some CD's have the title and track titles encoded and some don't. I find that only about a third of the CD's I've tried actually show a title.
  19. I agree. Take it to the Lexus dealer first and try to get them to fix it on warranty. If you can't, here's the tutorial on how to partially. The clips are removed by turning the slotted part 90 degrees and then popping them out.(this is actually how to change foglight bulbs.) http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223728 I tried to match yours up. It looks like your liner is torn right where the upper clip would be. From your pic, it also looks like there may be an extra gap between the fender extension and the bumper extension. Can't tell for sure.
  20. The liner is torn? That's the part you have to take loose to change foglight bulbs, I think.
  21. Those hose fittings near the timing gear cover don't do anything. I think they're just there if you need to hook up for a turbo or something. None of them are hooked up.
  22. The easiest way to answer your question is to remove the bulb from the car and bring it to the store with you to match it. Or just take it out and read on the bulb what it is. Hope this helps. - GM Easier than asking on a message board? :chairshot:
  23. Sylvania says. Front turn signal 992 (7440A) That's for 2006, but it's probably the same. I think there are 4 bulbs based on what I see flashing on mine. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...placementGuide/
