  1. yes you may. I have 4 x 235 40r 18s all around. No issues there. But it does slow your car down (heaps!) and I found it does increase fuel consumption a tad bit.
  2. Damaged my tail lights :cries: anyone know of a cheap place /website to buy spare parts? Thanks for your help in advance. sPY
  3. Well there is a silicone lubricant that you can use to reduce the noise. The noise is caused by the rubber of the roof rubbing against the panel. If you apply lub on the rubber this will mute the sound………..( for 2 weeks at least) Then you have to do it again =( I am trying to find DRY LUB , apparently this doesn’t dry up. :cries:
  4. The creaking comes from the contact between the rubber liner and the metal surface.... would anyone recommend putting dry lub or silicone lubricant to stop the creaking?
  5. Yes its nice and warm down under at the moment I think the brand of the cleaner is Shine and Wax, wasnt an expensive brand at all....... Down here, lexus dont sell the 17" and 18" by themselves and they certainly dont offer the the option to upgrade. I got the base model which are 16" 205/45 stock....and trust me they look like skinny whimpy wheels.
  6. Hey fellas, Looking to place this rims on the car. What does everyone think of the looks? EJ
  7. :cries: only done 3 K on the car woohooooo Has there been a post on how to take apart the door?
  8. OK I thought Lexus was meant to be quality……… maybe I had one too many beers Why would anyone be afraid of complaining….. I did last time and I got my whole bumper replaced and repainted on this damage :whistles: see link below: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...his+be+a+defect Now I have a rattling noise on my left side door……as well as a creaking noise from the moon roof……….. woo the list grows. I have only done 3k on the car! *bleep* when I hit my first service I am getting them fixed. I did however buy the dealer an expensive bottle of red as a token of appreciation when I first bought the car..... B) .....strategic! BTW - Anyone know of how to take apart the door? :P
  9. Mine beeps to the point that all bystanders look at the car ( with moonroof open) ! what better way to draw attention :whistles:
  10. Barkart - Thanks for your great help. ! Yea the alignment is off. I took it to a repairer yesterday, they told me looks like someone tried to pull the front bar off. Also quoted me a 1000$ repair job . Yikes! The front bar has to be replaced apparently + the liner. Thanks for your help. Rgd Ej
  11. Didnt change the fog lights yet.... any ideas what could have cause it? like bumpy rides? And more importantly is it costly to fix =( I tried to unscrew the screws but they just keep turning and making a click sound. I stopped there for fear of doing more damage.
  12. Guys (& possible ladies), For all of us who love our cars, seeing this is not a pretty sight :cries: At first sight, I thought it was yet another noob that backed in to me. However, I see no scratches nor dents nor any indications i've been hit. And no I have not been ramming into other ppl :P I would like to think this is a defect (just so i can pay those lexus ppl a visit) Anyone know what would likely cause this? Rgds Ej
  13. Allo Allo, For all those that took the upgrade and got the ML Sat Nav pack, can I get a show of hands if you are happy with the quality of the sound system? I am finding the sound lacking in depth and the treble is also lacking even when you have it on full settings. What does everyone think? :P EJ
  14. From past experiences, once a spider gets in, baby spiders are most likely residing somewhere under the bonnet =) Enjoy!
  15. Many ppl have said that Xenon depot is a good place to get them. I have spoken to them and they leave me the impression that quality is good and the technitians know their stuff. Having said that, I have however decided to go with a kit from www.xtralights.com because they offer a 2 year warranty as opposed to one. Also the kit is made in Japan and if you know Japanese culture well, these guys pride themselves on quality
