Proximity switches or glass break sensors on the windows hooked up to an alarm might help. I have all my windows and doors wired to an alarm that sounds a really loud siren outside and inside and calls the police. There are lots of ways to set something like that up and the noise alone can make a thief want to get the heck out of there while he can. There are also films, similar to window tint, that you can apply to the inside of windows that makes them harder to break.

There's the lockout button for the window switches, but I don't see that doing it either. There aren't any other "disable" buttons on a IS.

That sounds terrible. I agree the dealer should have paid special attention to the second car for sure. Are there other dealers in your area? FYI. My car was the first 2006 to come in and was in the showroom for the new model introduction party. They had made sure it was perfect as can be. Sounds to me like your dealer doesn't have much pride in his product.

What/where is the "smart key disable button", please? The only button I know of is the one inside the glove box at the left front side of the box. It disables the trunk remote unlock for valet parking. You activate that button, lock the glove box with the steel key, and take the steel key with you when you leave the car to be parked. The valet can start and drive the car with the smart key, but cannot unlock the glove box or the trunk.

True, and TPS sensors won't fit in some aftermarket wheels as well.

I've seen the instructions. It doesn't seem to difficult if you take your time and be careful. It does require drilling 2 holes in the trunk lid though. Is that price for the spoiler including installation? I know you can buy the OEM spoiler alone for around $200, so if that's the total, it's not too bad.

Back in the day we just put on some used black old steelies and usually didn't even bother with the hubcaps. Cars didn't look so good but got through the snows. Best snow tires I ever had were bias belted Goodyear XG with studs. Had em on a Mazda pickup with a couple sand bags in the back. I'd pass all the traffic by going into the uncleard lane. Then they banned studs in Ohio. Then I moved south. :D

The leather key glove they give you has a hanger loop on it. You can lock stuff up, take the steel key out, and give the valet just the smart key in the glove.

You must mean "auto-level". That's the feature that checks the attitude of the car, front to rear level when you first turn the headlights on. There is a level sensor in the rear just in front of the rear axle. This has an arm that can get out of adjustment or sometimes the sensor itself can go bad. Also there is a headlight ECU inside the car in the driver's side kick panel. Then there is a computer under each headlight. Sometimes water can get into the headlight housing and cause corrosion leading to bad connections in that area. My best guess would be that the rear height/level sensor is going flakey, as that seems to be the problem that happens most often. What you have is not a common problem. I've only heard of it in the posts here. I have never noticed anything unusual about the steering on my 06 IS350 nor have I seen it mentioned in the over 7000 posts in the othe forum I read regularly. If the steering feel isn't progressive with speed, then there may be a problem with the power steering computer. Some dealer's shop needs to dig into this further. It's just not normal.

Nobody got offended. The only little problem was some posts going off on tangents about 700HP engines etc. That has little to do with what plugs are best for your stock engine.
