i wish mine was like that sewell charged me $100 to just look at the car and told me problem was minor and wanted another $500 and to keep overnight but i left and they kept $100 since it was a deposit next day i went to my local mechanic and he told me the car phone was what kept on killing my battery....someone tell me how a local dealer found the problem in 10 minutes and did it for free while lexus wanted $600+

"akewlguy" have you thought about getting the "LS400" emblem to put on the trunk of your car because the car looks like one of the older ES from the back if uve seen one you will kno what im talking about and i really like the lights though might get some myself for the 96

i have a an extra working display that i have laying around my old head unit woudlnt play CD's for some reason and the lgihts didnt work so i bougt a new one and its laying in my garage now collectin dust LOL

mmm the SUV us alright not a big fan of the design though to many curves on taht car for me id stil with a 98-00 LS or a 04+ ls or if i were to choose a SUV id get the LX470

im not sure if you can do that never even thought about that before but i put new gold emblems in a while back and the emblems are stuck on with adhesive tape and theres to pins sticking out of the emblems so when u put them in there leveled if you want to remove them then get fishing wire i does the trick dont use a screw driver like me because now i have scratches around the emblems but there only visible up close -Khalid

CONGRATS on the car and about the cd changer you guys have a problem with your head unit more then likely because i had the same thing happen to min bougt a new head unit everything worked fine for about 3 months then problem came back son got mad at the cd changer one day and punched it and suddenly it came back to life lol but it died again in 2 weeks and i removed my in car phone wiring and then oddly enough it came back alive but now my cars alarm isnt working but alarm for cd changer is a fair trade for me not like im ever going to use it (i have a feeling im going to regret saying that) -Khalid

i think you can do the bumper mod if you get it to fit but the turn signal lights on the 95 would have to be moved the where the cornor lights are right now and you could take the current lights in your cornor lights and put them where your fog lights are and take the fog lights to the bumper i have thought about doing this for a while but have not found a black bumper yet heres a pic it will make more sense and the wood knob will fit if you can find one thats the same color leather as your car but i think its the 4-5 inch knob so dont get the small one which the newer lexus's have and about the steering wheel it will fit but your current airbag wont fit on it so youll have to buy the airbag for a 98-00 LS and the wirigin for the airbag woudlnt connect to the current airbag so it would jsut be there for looks and wouldnt be operational in the event of a crash so you would be better off with the leather one you currently have if you really want wood on your steering you can send it to a company they add wood grain to the steering for aroudn 200 but i dont have the link currently i will find it for you -Khalid

hmm idk about that topic it doesnt have any real evidence if it reduces MPG then why didnt they do a test on that its farely simple process and when they say youll lose MPG and performance for regular so if im correct then my theory should be right say you get 20 mpg with premium and you get about 17 with regular premium costs 2.20 and regular is 2.00 so if you do the math right 5 gallons of premium is $11 and that turns to 100 miles total then regular 5 gallons of gas is 10 and that turns to 85 miles total so thats a 15 mpg difference between the two and you save a dollar there in gas by getting regular but u sacrifice performance and MPG so if you think about it then wouldnt you be better off getting premium which has better performance and better MPG because really in the long run premium would be a better deal if i did the math right but what do i kno haha am i on to something or do i have no point at all lol -khalid

it really depends what you put chrome on like my lexus it has chrome rims and the look really nice with the chrome trimming around the windows and doar so it doesnt look awkward since its not the only thing chrome im looking for some LS430 05 5 spoke rims in chrome in 18's those look really nice and there OEM so i cant go wrong

mmhm definately agree my lexus is a 96 with 111k miles and it still smells good my ford expedition on the other hand could use my help but then again the reason why i got it was so i wouldnt have to worry about the kids eating and spilling stuff in my lexus wife is startin to get mad at me though lol :D

since you have plently of time to decide just go and test drive both cars afterall thats why they let you test drive cars and decide which one you like because when it really comes down to it, its your decision and your familys because those are the people that are going to be using it on a daily basis so why get something they dont like you kno??? so go test drive both of them since you coudl go either way as it stands maybe youll see somehting you like in one more then the other Khalid -keep us informed with what you think

really nice GS u have there Dave im thinking about putting a supercharger in my LS400 also becuase 270ish horses arnt enough for me haha leave me a PM if u kno any shop or where i could find a supercharger im considering a turbo intead though havnt made up my mind yet

just think about it now lexus is known for its luxury and most people see it as a high end car company toyota on the other hand is just as reliable but not looked up to as much as lexus due to the luxury of the car if it was me id get the LS430 hands down dont evne need to compare the 2 i have a LS400 96 right now which im probably going to sell it and use what i get to buy a 02 S500 or 02 LS430 havnt decided which one yet though

if your talking about the hood shocks then yes they can be replaced at an autozone i dont recommend going to the dealer unless ur willing to pay 200-300 like i did which i reglet alot now but the ones form autozone should work fine after all its not one of those life and death situations u jsut need something to hold the hood up and ive heard u can get both shocks there for $50 which isnt bad at all compared to the dealer
