ok well i found the +12 from my old head unit and i can get the head unit to power on and off once the ignition is turned on but how can i get the speakers to work i think only the sub is powered by the amp and i dont care about that i just want the speakers are the powered by the stock head unit or does the amp power those too. if the amp doesnt power it then which wires are the ones from my stock head unit that lead to the speakers -any help is appreciated

well as some of you might kno i had been in the market for a head unit. i got a good deal on the Alpine IVA-D310 for $800 w/ a lexus dash kit so i went ahead and bout that. but man theres so many wires on this thing lol and so many wires on back of my head unit. anyone kno which wires which on the back of the head unit and how will i go about bypassing my stock amp. - does the stock amp only power the sub or does it power the speakers too

my gas light turned on today so i put $50 in my tank look how much it got me for yourself that got me about 7/8 of a tank which is b/s if im putting $50 into the car......i remember when i complained about gas being $1 i take that back now

i love the way my car looks soon as i wash it but once it drys it sort of looks dull even with the polish is there any product out there i can keep the wet look with? i currently use this wax http://www.autogeek.net/mg7016.html but will use other ones if theres anything that will bring out the color in my car more if anyone has any tips on how to go about this or kno any better products please tell me id appreciate it -My car is Onyx Black so u kno how maintaining the Black goes

if your gonna spend 168 then i have no respect for you at all lol no just kidding if a dealers gonna give u a battery for 168 u better not buy that because a battery is a battery just depends how much power it puts out ever opened a battery? there all the same inside but then we have the spiral wall batterys or the "optima" batterys which have deep cycle. i currently have one of those in my car putting out about 800or so CCA and it only cost me 140 for that and im assuming the battery your getting from the dealer is only 500 or so CCA

well since the brands are layed down what type of bulbs will i need? for the dome, doars, and ones near my knees

well what brand makes some really good interior LED's because i want to get the ones hyper white ones to make thins inside look alot nicer at night might even go blue but price isnt an issue -i want to change the dome lights -doar lights -lights near legs -rear doar lights -in other words if theres a light inside the car that comes on when a doar opens i want it to be white or blue -and what are the bulb #'s for the bulbs in the dome light i kno theres 3 bulbs there then theres the bulbs that light up near your legs and the ones on the doar if anyone knos the numbers to those bulbs it would help becuase i wanna say there 194 bulbs but not quite sure

well ive been looking into some LED's lately for the inside of my car gotten tired of the yellow lights and ill prolly change all of those out pretty soon (next 2 weeks or so) but i want to kno if anyone here (other then SK) has done the swap and has pictures so i can see results and what do i look for when looking for the bright bulbs i kno theres alot of variety but is there a differnece in the bulbs if so which ones should i get and which ones should i stay from and where can i get them from -any help or advice is appreciated

yah i kno thats y i didnt install from them or even buy, but i still havnt had time to go to a car shop and ask about the head unit fitting and nobody on here has replied so i guess ill ask again WILL A DOUBLE DIN HEAD UNIT FIT IN the STOCK HEAD UNIT SLOT and now ive been doing more research on head units and i might just get a flip out head units since theres more of a variety but im still leaning toward the kenwood if i can find out if it fits or not of if i can find a double din kit for that head unit

well most of you guys might have seen SK and i talking about the JL audio we both have in our cars. Im moving onto a new head unit in mine now and ive decided on a double din indash monitor by called the (Kenwood DDX-6019 so im moving onto my next problem.... -will the head unit fit in place of my stock unit -will a wiring harness off ebay or etc work -where can i get a dash kit for the head unit -reasons im asking on here is becuse i asked some guys at cartoys and they kept bull*BLEEP*tin me as if i didnt kno what i was talking about and kept running up the total bill to 3k which is 2k worth for ONLY installation which is rediculous and im going to do it all myself anyway since i did my sub myself too and i like knowing the fact when someone asks who did the set up u can say yourself that never hurts haha

anyone kno how to remove that rear taillight between the glass and the subwoofer because something in it is rattling and it annoys me when i turn the bass up and just kills it

thats exactly why i didnt stop kewlguy becuase my friend lost it when the kid threw the rock because it couldev hit the window and hit him and he was already gettin out of control so i just left it alone but i went and reported it today and the detective said he would call me back all i want out of this are the dents out of my car and that guy to learn his lesson

when u ask for replacement carpet do u mean all of the carper on the floor be rplaced or just the carpet mats because u can get the floor carpet cut to the shape almsot anywhere as long as u can get ur carpet off and about the performance chip yes u can get one my friend is suppose to put one in since he works at a shop that does one and it supposedly puts out extra 75-100hp

well while were on the subject of tires u guys think having 2 different speed rated tires will make a difference on the car say a speed rating of V and speed rating of H on the exactly same tires with different speed ratings

HID became an option on the 98+ LS and the difference between a xenon and HID doesnt exist because there the same thing just different way of saying it like pc and computer the fact that PIAA or silvastar arnt TRUE xenons there just the same type of bulbs u have in ur car now covered with a bluish tint to create a different color light and xenon bulbs or HID which is the same as xenon but a different way of saying it have xenon gas in the bulbs and require ballasts and theres honestly noway to plug and play them in our cars 97 and below although there is a kit u can buy called the H1 xenon kit which will run you about 300-400 but thats simple as plug and play but i would belive that u would be blinding the drivers oncomeing due to the fact that your LS doesnt have a fine cutoff beam that most cars with xenon or bixenon -to sum it up if you want TRUE xenons youll need projectors, clear your headlights, and alot of $$$$

this **** is rediculous ive had my car keyed, front bumper cracked, 5 dents in rear quarter panel, and now a dent on my front passenger fender to compliment the 6" key mark left there im about ready to get rid of this car and get a ford or kia even

wow i can not belive this but i was drivin down this road after picking up some friends and some threw a rock at my car and it hit my front passenger fender i floored the brakes but the ran off and there wasnt much i could do anyone kno how to go about this im filing a report with police in the morning because theres nothing they can do now really :chairshot:
